I would like to think that he looks like he hasn't slept because he is doing so much with recruiting, on the road to FL and other states, back to AA for the Big Chill.  RR is giving it all for The Team!  Gotta love it, not listening to media, not getting distracted by rumors, just gettin after it and giving it all for this team and place.  Keep it up Coach!

I realize that some reporters were allowed at the event, but I think overall the Bust is viewed as a very internal type of event, and why it can't be taken as just his way of expressing his appreciation to the team.

Reading just one of the many many books on Bo, a description of one of those events, when various members of previous Bo teams were there, paints a picture of a pretty personal and fun/joking atmosphere.  Such as the Player elected to be the MC stating, "we all met and decided that the 1984 team members need to go, since they didn't live up to Bo's requirements" Joking that 1984 was the only team that did not end with a winning record.  Then after making this statement the MC leans over to listen to Bo, and then quips, "Alright, Bo says it's OK, you can stay"

Yes Rich Rodriguez is NOT Bo, he has a very different personality, and he expresses his loyalty and appreciation to his team, and what they have experienced in a different way. But it still isn't about him alone, it's about the team.

Otherwise, there wouldn't have been a standing ovation, cheering, and then everyone joining hands to sing the song.

Out of the two, almost completely opposite Detroit News articles, you have decided to believe the negative one.

And that is sad.

The Bust is and always has been a very public event, put on by the Detroit Alumni Club as a year-end celebration of the football program.  The general public can buy tickets, and in a typical year it's a very well-attended event.  They've even advertised the event on the scoreboards at the Stadium.  It's not internal by any means.

Get healthy, and I hope they have an air tight practice schedule to work on getting back to basics and work on expecution.  This  match-up should be an interesting game with two running spreads.  Good Luck men!

Give me a fucking break. What in God's name are you expecting RR—or anybody else—to say to these mindlessly repetitive and totally expected questions? If RR had come up with some totally unexpected statement, you and everybody else would have been jumping down his throat about why he can't just say normal shit.

Why don't you dig up every single statement by Lloyd Carr or Bo Schembechler or Urban Meyer, Bear Bryant, Joe Paterno, Tom Osborne, or any other coach when they're asked about their bowl opponent and then get back to us with their totally original and creative responses. Jackass.

help but 'study' Coach, see how he looks, and yeah, he looks like he could use some 'Zzzzs'. You know what? Now that the bowl game is official he's got something to focus on; a goal, something to keep the 'job security' blahblahblah to a minimum. Now that there isn't a game a week, Coach can get himself back to 'the fundamentals', as well as the team; get into a rythym, prepare both mentally and physically, and have a great bowl game and a good start to 2011.

to see this team in a bowl game. This is a perfect opportunity for RR and co. I really think this defense will look a lot better and come out and smack MSU in the mouth! The team will know there head coaches job is likely on the line. I expect a team that will make us ( Michigan Nation) very, very proud!
