Ronnie Bell Appreciation Thread

No one feels worse than him. Tough to swallow for all. Dude played great the whole game with outstanding effort and YAC. We gotta support our own in the tough times. Go Blue Forever!

I feel for the kid, I really do. He played a helluva game, but much like this team, they come up just short. They need to play like champions, not runners-up.

He’s been our best receiver all year.  Tough one tonight, boys played hard.  KJ was the difference maker we don’t have this year.

I’d take Ronnie on my team any day!

It happens.  Sometimes there are heroes, sometimes there are goats.

Just hard to swallow because we have been waiting so long for the big program defining win, and it was there for the taking.

The Harbaugh era has been defined by not making that one key play.

MSU punt 6 in 2015,

OSU 2016- Peppers allowing the runner to reverse field on him and run 12 yards to set up the 4th and 1 that led to JT was short, and the winning TD, instead of a FG,

PSU 2019 - Finally in a position for that program defining road win again, and drop the ball, literally.

Seems Jim, this program, is just cursed.

I appreciate that Bell is our most targeted receiver.  We have 3 guys other than Bell who will play NFL football.  It makes so much sense to use those guys as decoys and throw to Bell most of the time.  Strategy bitch.

Can't fault him at all. If someone's feeling it as closely as that they deserve zero criticism. He obviously cares about it much more than any couch coach or armchair qb ever could. Proud of the effort tonight.

We are never in that position if Bell doesn’t make an incredible move on 3rd and long the previous drive.

Even after that we had a chance to get the ball back and didn’t stop them.

I agree, but I would expand it. He's had a great season.

Ronnie, all Michigan alumni are as heart-broken as you. We were all with you as you tried to bring the pass in. When you dropped it, we dropped it with you. But we'll be right by your side next week against Notre Dame and the rest of the season.

Ronnie busted a tackle to make a big play earlier that made the last offensive play matter.  He would be the first to say he should have caught the last pass.  Tough one.  Hope he learns from it and bounces back to play at the level he is capable of playing at.

He has been our best receiver this year. It's a tough break and I don't blame him for the loss. Loss is on the coaches for the slow start once again

Honestly, Ronnie bell should be elevated to receiver #1 if he isn't already. He's been solid and was really good today besides that drop. Seems to be the only receiver regularly open. DPJ and Tarik are severely overrated imho

Support, yes.  Calling this team wasted talent, I'll take a hard pass.  Their talent dropped 6 catchable passes.

Has to hurt but the loss is not on him. Should’ve had two TDs this game but alas. If he cleans up some mental errors he will be a star going forward in his career.

Fuck Penn State. Fuck happy valley at night.

Fuck the officiating. Fuck the ESPN homer narrative for every gameday they cover.

I’ll never shit in him for this. I sure as hell couldn't have made that catch. Shit happens, man. He made plenty of great plays otherwise.

Hope he gets the chance for redemption against OSU.
