I just read Duncan set a franchise playoff record for the Heat with 8 3-pointers.  Seems hard to believe with all the all-star players, including Lebron, playing with the Heat.

It’s an impressive record, and Lebron is an all-timer, but it’s not surprising that *Lebron*, a 35% career 3 shooter who can score in many different ways and distribute to teammates, doesn’t hold the record. It’s more surprising that Ray Allen doesn’t hold it.

But it’s a new era. And Duncan is well-suited for the age. Still remarkable that he’s made it to this point.

Rice came to my mind too, so I looked it up.  He really didn't play that many playoff games for the Heat (8 total).  His playoff game totals are tilted a good degree more towards his time with the Hornets and Lakers.

So nice to see Robinson come out and absolutely vaporize the Hawks after losing his starting spot. Strus is a great shooter but Robinson has a couple years of playoff experience to fall back on in these big moments.

As stated above a 4 point play and a beautiful reverse layup on a cut. Moving without the ball is one his specialties. I actually heard on the Warriors call last night that Poole sought out Robinson on tips for moving without the ball. M hoopers going ham. No big deal.

Robinson broke his own record (previously he was tied with 2 other Heat players with 7 made 3 pointers in a playoff game).   27 points on 10 shots.  Poole had 30 points on 13 shots.  Neither of those guys ever went off like that at Michigan, in my memory.

The 3 point shot has changed the game massively, in a good way in my opinion.  Trae Young was amazing in the previous game but 0-7 from 3 today and 1-12 overall.  With more variability, there's more unpredictability and a chance for the underdog to win.  In the old days, the higher seed almost always won.
