I think I'll check it out.
Mike Hall had an interview with him today. He's been mum on the twitter since the interview. Had a lot of less than flattering question suggestions.
...like quite the tool in that picture. His smirk matches that snarky tweet.
Thanks for the heads up. Good stuff.
he says something along the lines of...
spring practice went great, we got to see a lot of the younger players get some reps, there is competiiton at all positions that will continue into the fall. we are very pleased with the progress the team is making, although as always there are some areas of concern that we still need to work on. team is working hard.
QBs? It was great to see them getting a lot of action and see them both progress, Denard has really made some strides and there will be competition right through the fall.
the best players will play.
You have to include the line, "two guys we can win with."

Tremendous catch on your part, I knew there was one that I was forgetting.
"Player X is a conscientious guy"
When Hall won on "Dream Job," I thought he would end up being a national personality. He produced under tremendous pressure and kept his poise extremely well. He seemed to disappear on ESPNU, and apparently went to BTN for a fresh start.
I hope that he didn't do anything stupid to RR; I guess we'll find out soon enough.
GREATEST ALL-TIME BIG TEN SPORTS MEMORY AS A SPECTATOR: No question, it's the 2008 Capital One Bowl. Granted I was working but not really. I was in charge of pre-game and post-game stuff so during the game I got to just stand on the sidelines and watch that crazy contest unfold. Then, getting to be on the field asking questions to a bevy of joyous wolverines was a memory not to be forgotten. I didn't even mention being in the locker room as Coach Carr gave his final post-game address to his team.
With this in his bio, I doubt he will be a complete turd. RR has become really good at giving "blah" answers lately, so I doubt any question would phase him.

faze.

Kind of a silly mistake. Long day today.
I'm definitely good for one of those days as well. No snobbiness intended.
last week they did not televise an interview with RR? Every other major college campus they stop usually has the coach appearing in the video bus or whatever it's called.
How many innings in softball again?
with OSU and M. Where is RR???
If this gets half the awesome posts that the spring game thread had, I'm getting the popcorn ready.
You can't spare a few minutes to watch Michigan beat OSU at softball? There are some cute girls on the Michigan team, even.
I was particularly attracted to the girl who became so winded running to 2nd that she needed a pinch runner.
She saves her strength for the home runs.
I'm sure she's a fine athlete. I don't find myself particularly attracted to big Will Campbell either, but that says nothing about his ability to flatten an O-lineman on his way to leveling a quarterback.
I'm just pleased that Big Ten's RBI leader is on our team and she can look how she wants doing it.

Did anyone happen to catch the interview?
April 28th, 2010 at 10:56 PM ^
Yeah, but it was the exact same thing he says every time he's been interviewed for the past month, so you didn't really miss anything.

"We'd like to have two we can win with" is so 2009, Super Unknown. He's been saying "maybe three" for a few weeks now. Makes it sound like Devin may not redshirt depending on how the summer and fall camp go.

I really like how they have handled information this Spring. Right now, we have three potential starting QB's, no decided RB starter, and a defensive scheme that "will surprise everyone".
I have my fingers crossed that they are trying to promote competition between the kickers, with the situation being better than we have been led to believe..........
April 28th, 2010 at 11:52 PM ^
The placekicking didn't look bad during the spring game and now that Tate has the starting punter job locked up, we should be good to go.
April 29th, 2010 at 12:00 AM ^
If only Denard could consistently punt the ball 35-40 yards...............
4th downs would be an absolute nightmare for opposing coaches.

Oh but he can. Didn't you watch the end of the Iowa game?
/still-too-soon
Thanks for posting the video, just alittle methadone to get me through the day on my long recovery to September.
LOL: "Ok ... good talking to you ..." NOT! (Look at the strained look on his face.)
Thanks for posting, even though this was a fluff interview. The questions were canned, and Rich had prepared (polished) answers. (Of course he's used the same answers all through the Spring.)
I think the comparison to springs past was the only new tidbit - even though the response wasn't really a surprise. He was pretty diplomatic about the the first spring practice.
"Tune in to Big Ten Tonight 9 PM ET as coach Rich Rodriguez reflects on the spring season and the outlook at QB."
Frankly, I'm more interested in the outlook at SS or the outlook at ILB, but sounds like Rich didn't say much regardless. Given how he's been treated by the media the past couple of years, who can blame him?
