Recruiting Class YMRMFSFPA message board addition

One of my favorite elements the MGoStaff has incorporated into their mid-summer incoming freshmen recaps is the YMRMFSFPA ("you may remember me from such former players as" for those that may be unfamiliar) section, where Brian/Seth/Alex will compare the current incoming freshman to a former Michigan player for people that have followed the program for some time would be familiar with.

This is always intriguing to me just because it's kind of a fun exercise to get a sense for how each of the incoming freshman might project, both stylistically and from a potential impact perspective based on the newcomer's recruiting profile and high school film, to Wolverines of the past once they are ready to see the field.

Again, this is supposed to be just for fun. I'm not trying to associate any expectations to any of these young guys who will forge their own path in their UM careers. Still, would be interested to hear other people's takes that care to weigh in on who some of these new guys might remind you of when you look at their film and playing style. Here are a few of mine:

Keon Sabb --> Ernest Shazor maybe? Seems like a big, physical box safety that may not be outstanding in coverage, but is plus plus against the run and will make receivers nervous running over the middle

Jimmy Rolder --> i would say Ben Gedeon. Seems like an old school thumper type linebacker, but don't underestimate the athleticism. Both guys can really run and are pretty solid in coverage as well.

Darrius Clemons --> man, hard not to get serious Nico Collins vibes from his film. Big bodied receiver that can really run and stretch the field vertically. Very similar frames and receiver attributes, IMO.

Kody Jones --> To me, this guys film looks a lot like a young JD Lewis. I think he is going to be a very good corner as an upperclassmen with a few years developing under Clink. He may not be the highest rated DB in the class by the analysts. But he can run, he can really cover and you can see the intensity he plays with come through on his film. Really excited about him

CJ Stokes --> To me, this guy looks a lot like Karan Higdon coming out of High School. Not necessarily a big time recruiting profile coming out of high school, but both guys are compact, strong one cut runners with great balance and vision and enough speed to get the job done. I could see him being a steady reliable presence in the backfield once he gets his chance to crack the lineup.

I'll leave it with those for now. Who else has you excited in this class, and what former Wolverines might you see in some of these kids games?

These are all great YMRMFSFPA's. That comp for Kody Jones might be a little rich but otherwise, well done!

Amorion Walker reminds me so much of a taller Andrel Anthony. That dude was a recruiting steal!

Jimmy Rolder is a more athletic version of Josh Ross.

Keon Sabb hopefully turns into an Isaiah Simmons clone. That's the archetype Michigan is shooting for.

I know this is a stupidly high comp but Colston Loveland is a poor man's Antonio Gates.

Kenneth Grant looks like a Haloti Ngata/Vita Vea type player (another stupidly high comp)

Alex Orji has Lamar Jackson type upside (though that's obviously a long shot)

Myles Pollard reminds me of Vincent Gray with better athleticism

Mason Graham reminds me of Cameron Hayward (don't throw rocks at me for making an OSU comp)
