Do you want to know about recruiting or decommitting?
Dequinta Jones is "intrigued" by Oklahoma State and I believe Alabama. He hasn't set up officials yet, but he might just do that. I haven't heard anything recent. Watch his video highlights, and you can be the judge of what you think of him. I wasn't all that impressed to be honest.
I spoke with Dewayne Peace, and he's still deciding on what to do. He said that the cold bothered him, but to me that's an excuse. He knew it was cold here, so there has to be something else. I'm still trying to figure that out.
Let me know if there's anything else you want to know about.

Can he read a depth chart? Damn.
Is the variance in the level of commits/decommits really driven by our win-loss record?

It depends on the recruit really. I know Bryce McNeal decommitted because he didn't think he would fit into the offense. You have to remember these kids are 17-18 year olds with instant fame. They have egos, and they all think they're the best. When they look at a depth chart, they don't see themselves buried on it, and the coaches recruiting them always tell them it's "competitive." It's all situational, every kid wants something different from the school they choose. Most of them that I have talked to have said they don't mind losing, since this is Rich Rod's first year. But it makes a whole lot more compelling argument being the Number 1 team in the country, and an already explosive team. It's something they can see, and they know that it's working. With Michigan, they haven't seen it yet.

I posted a lot of this on another post, but we look good right now with Chris Freeman, Taylor Lewan, Mywan Jackson, possibly his teammate Angelo Hadley, Mike Marry, Hawatha Bell, and Will Campbell.
It's too early to tell about Jelani Jenkins, his list is still pretty long.
I'm scared about Vlad Emilien for some reason. If you read my interview with him he says he's going to make his decision on a "gut feeling," which has me thinking. I'm optimistic, but still nervous. He's announcing Nov. 23rd.
Beaver is solid. I talked with him the other day, and he said his visit couldn't have gone any better. He's already been talking to Ricardo Miller, and some other kids.
There's a lot that are a toss up right now. The recruiting sites say no to Travis Bond and Willie Haulstead, but the recruits I talk to say the opposite.
This is crunch time, so I'm going to keep a close eye out.

Well, you can look around on some of the other recruiting posts, and I have more info on there, but here's a liitle light shedding for you.
Eugene Smith just took a trip to Alabama, and with all the decommitting, I don't think Rich Rod is going to be as active as he normally would, as to not piss anyone off. I guess still a shot, but he said that Alabama set the bar pretty high. He visits WVU on the 7th, but I don't think he has any other visits set up. I wouldn't count on it, I guess there's a chance though.
Denard Robinson, we have a better chance with him. We're recruiting him as an athlete. Probably on defense. He is 6 foot and runs a 4.49 40. He's been trying to set up a visit, but hasn't.
Jelani Jenkins, it's too early. He hasn't done enough narrowing down. We'll see what happens.
Lattimore. From what I've heard, he likes us and Oklahoma State. I haven't heard how his visit yet, and haven't talked to any recruits that talk to him either. I know he's liked Michigan for awhile now. He's 6 feet and about 230 pounds, so that's good.
Donavan Tate. A lot of people were waiting to see if he entered the MLB draft. Apparently if he did, he was going to be a top 10 pick. He was there at the Michigan State game, and would be a good pick up. He's got a visit to North Carolina later this month, then we'll probably hear some more noise.
Holloman. I don't see us getting him. But, the more I read on him, and talk to other people, there might be a chance. He said he wants to set up a visit here, but hasn't done so yet.
All of these kids are up for grabs. The problem is they say whatever they want to everybody, and sometimes don't let anyone know the truth. So, the only one of these that I really don't think we'll get is Eugene Smith. The rest, there's atleast still some time left to work with. Hope that helps.

Are Sam Montgomery and Joe Ankrah even in the board anymore?? I guess JOsh Robinson at CB also seems like a nice get if he choose's us, i have heard that he might be looking good, you have anything new on him?
If Dequinta Jones is wavering and with us still not official with Big Will, are the staff on the look out for DTs? There seems to be nohting out there to suggest we are doing so. We are very thin at DT for next year, but if we are gonna make the move to the stack for good, then it migth not matter.
Thanks!
