QB predicament
do we keep recruiting dual threat QB's in this class or wait and diligently recruit the top 2010 QB's like gardner, bolden, and christian green? i hope rich rod figures it out and makes the right choice....i say stick with threet, sheridan and forcier for the year and pursue the 2010 qb's like crazy....
what are your thoughts?

Take another qb dude, if anything for depth.

yeah.. take some 3* dual threat guy who can potentially be alright. then focus HARD on DG and the rest of those guys.

Go after Eugene Smith again.

Is his 40 time accurate on Rivals? Because it says he runs a 4.8!? That doesn't sound too dual-threat to me compared with the other guys in the 4.5 range. I'd still take him even if that time is accurate, but I think I prefer Boyd if that's the case.

Feagin could move back to QB, too. Maybe he could get a ton better over the spring...

Why go after three start guys when you have guys like boyd, smith and even denard robinson.

obviously go after the best available, but it is easier to get a 3* guy who hasn't been recruited hard by other schools where they've built relationships with the coaches like many of the top guys.

OMG PANIC!!! i say we need Eugene Smith or Tajh Boyd. Gosh Dang It Beaver! Why'd ya have to go and mess this up??? o well.

There's still some uncomitted guys out there that we are either in the race for or can get back in the race for such as Denard Robinson, Tajh Boyd, Raymond Cotton, etc. We can also use some "snake oil". Until LOI's are signed who cares what any recruit says. They all waver and so much and think they are Hollywood superstars because they get a little limelight in the process of deciding a school.

I just hope Forcier is Really. Fucking. Good...

And stays healthy.

We'll also have an experienced Threet. A duo of Forcier/sophomore Threet is still a significant upgrade from frosh Threet/Sheridan.

Forcier is better than Beaver. He's more polished and will have a better chance for an immediate impact. I'm okay with this, although it would be nice to get another guy for depth.
Perhaps Travante Stallworth can be another Pat White. (I'm not expecting that, just throwing ideas out there.)
I would expect that we'll go after Eugene Smith, Tajh Boyd, and Denard Robinson once again.
Smith's 40 time might be listed at 4.8...but perhaps that's just his, you know, actual 40 time, whereas every other recruit lies. Smith is a very smooth runner, but he's a passer first. He's not going to make many 80 yard runs, but he's plenty mobile enough to run the offense well if he comes to Michigan.

This is not that big a deal.
