Puerto Rico Tip-Off Updated Bracket

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

So both games were upsets in session 1 of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Northeastern knocked off Georgetown and UNC-Charlotte beat Kansas State.

If Michigan wins tonight, they could face VCU which would be the only "watchable" game of the tournament to outsiders.

In other early season tourney news, Nebraska was beaten by UMass 96-90.

Really miss Burke. So far no to take over when the team is struggling. It is early so I hope someone emerges. There has been some nice moves by Walton Jr. but he needs to finish.

Offense stagnant for too long there.  I think we need to make a more concerted effort to get Stauskas some touches when things go stale.  He's been making good decisions with the ball in his hands so far this season.  Walton is pressing too much, just needs to let things come to him.  Can't have bigs chucking threes, either.  Horford and Bielfeldt need to be working down low and stop trying to play shooting guard.  Robinson needs to make an impact in these games, too.  Way too quiet for a half of basketball against a so-so team.  Trying to figure out where he's improved from last year.  I think his three point shooting from up top has gotten better... hard time finding another area, though.  Hope to see more as the year goes on.

Remember that "continuation" that Iowa State was given? Michigan has had more than one of those today that should have been continuation if the one for Iowa State was.
