Porter Moser whispers "getting louder"

This would be a nightmare. If this happens Warde Manuel should be forced to resign immediately.

Heard whispers all day Porter Moser is the leader at Michigan and those whispers keep getting louder

As good of a guy as he is, I just don’t get how 1 NCAA tournament in 15 years qualifies you to be Michigan head coach

Granted it was a really fucking great 1 year, but still pic.twitter.com/GS0sBY2Z1a

Porter Moser has had one meaningful season in 19 years as a head coach. In that one season he won his first three tournament games by 4 points combined. It was a great story but it was also sheer luck boosting an utterly unremarkable career.

Michigan hiring Porter Moser would be a colossal, Hoke-esque disaster.

Yeah he would probably be a step toward mediocrity.  But when I think disaster or nightmare hire, I think something like Ellerbe.

I think the 1 tourney appearance in 15 years is misleading.  He's only coached in 1-bid conferences.  And Loyola was a rebuild.  The Illinois St tenure is most concerning.

Fair enough, but by that metric Beilein was only 2/15 before he came to Michigan.  In those small conferences you can be a decent coach and not make the tournament very often.

Can't believe I'm defending this guy since I don't want him either, but if this is a nightmare then your nightmares aren't that bad.  Brian effing Ellerbe was the coach during my time at U-M.  I watched Duke take a 34-2 lead at Cameron.  *That* was a nightmare.

I think given the giant fuck ups that were the RichRod and Hoke years, Manuel (while not a part of them) fully understands the situation he's in and that hiring some feel good story like Porter Moser, or similar, isn't gonna cut it at Michigan. No, he didn't land us Harbaugh but he played here for Bo and he understands Michigan and what Beilein built. I seriously doubt he's just gonna throw shit at the wall and see what sticks and hire the basketball version of Brady Hoke.

There are slim pickins out there but I have a little more faith than you do that Manuel will do his due diligence and turn over all the stones to get a good hire here.

Why is everyone freaking out what these guys tweeted? Whispers... from who? If they're such insiders, where are their tweets about Beilein moving on? Not a whisper about it, not a fucking peep.

Everyone, please calm down.

Porter Moser is the smoke screen.

Before too long Warde is going to tag in Rampaging Rick Pitino who will come flying in over the top rope.

When you think about it, it is a great move.

This feels a bit like the David Cutcliffe whispers when we were looking for Harbaugh. I think everyone knows who the obvious candidates are, and while I don't have the highest opinion of Warde, I have faith he won't pull a Hoke

I don't want this coaching search to be a disaster like the one at UCLA. But Beilein didn't build this program up so that we can get coaches like Porter Moser. He's a career .500 coach and Michigan is simply a better program than that. If it's too late to get someone better, then don't rush things and promote from within. Our baseline should be Yaklich or Washington.

He's the perfect hire if you consider what coach requires all the oxygen on campus.

He's a Sparty troll so everything he says should be immediately ignored. Poor guy is probably still upset about 94 yards of offense. Though if you to listen to RCMB, MSU is going to turn into a offensive juggernaut this fall and crush Michigan at the Big House.
