Submitted by Blue Kool Aid on

I was pretty unsuccesful in streaming the c eremony from Hill.  tried multiple browsers on multiple devices, spent a lot of time looking at a nice balcony shot of the stage

Worked fine for me. Apparently they had some site crashing issues early on in the broadcast. I think Brian Twitter-linked the live stream on YouTube as well.

I was certain it wasn't going to work on my old first generation iPad, but, was pleasantly surprised there were no issues whatsoever. I remember thinking how well that event ended up from production value to the players tribune site in general.

Had to have been your Internet speed. I streamed using LTE and it rarely paused. When it did pause, it would last just a few seconds.

Be careful. I started watching it about 10 last night and got hooked. Watched every minute and went to bed after midnight. Piece o' cake in my 20s, not so in my 60s. Sleepy today.

Watched the stream on my Smart TV through the Youtube app. It worked fine for me and was beautifully executed as far as reaching as many people as possible goes.

The YouTube channel worked very well for the portions I saw - no issues on the laptop I was using and I believe the stats on the screen showed over 30,000 viewing at peak. I know there was a thread regarding the YouTube stream - perhaps that should have been better publicized as a backup to the Players Tribune one in retrospect.

For those that did not see Signing Of The Stars but would like to do so, it is still available on YouTube.

and had no problems other than it took 2 hours out of my day because I couldn't stop watching.  I thought it was glorious other than a few awkward pauses when teleprompters were going too fast for Ric Flair or other presenter-type glitches.

I watched it on my iphone without any problems.  The only thing I noticed was the first 20-25 minutes or so was dead air, but then the show started.  I just skipped forward until I saw it starting.  They may have already fixed that issue though.

Couldn't get it to work AT ALL, from either YouTube or the Players Tribune.

Then restarted my computer.

Worked like a charm.

Not saying that was your problem but #1 rule with fixing ANY bug on a computer is just to try restarting it. Fixes the problem a majority of the time. But easily forgotten!

Youtube has about 25 minutes of a loop of the logo animation to start before the actual event starts. Just fast forward until you see the drumline come out.

I got on the playerstribune site a little early, and it looked like it had frozen up.  I cleared cache on my browser and reloaded, and then a YouTube stream appeared.  From Chrome I was able to cast it directly to my Roku 3, and it worked perfectly for the whole show.

This was streamed on YouTube. If you had problems it was on your end. At least it is still available on YouTube though.

I see lots of people thinking the Player's Tribune was streaming this directly, but no, it was on YouTube (which is a WAY smarter move than trying to stream & host on your own server.)
