Pirsig commits to Minny
Never heard of him.
I'm still impressed that Minny landed a 4-star
" Better Minny than either of them
". Um, why?Wisconsin is in another conference and we don't play them in the regular season for 4 years, that would've been the best place for him to go imo.
Responded so you can't edit...
and, so I can say...
OMG SINCE WHEN DID WISCONSIN LEAVE THE BIG TEN?
But seriously, I'm not too worried even though they are in our DIVISION (and conference) because this will be one solid pick up amongst many average three stars. Just because a four star will stand out at Minnesota doesn't mean UofM won't be able to take advantage of the other weaknesses they're sure to have on the line.
Jerry Kill probably haunted his life the way Punxatawney (sp?) Phil controlled Bill Murray's in Groundhog Day. They look the same anyways.
Glad he didn't go to Wisco.
Why? With the new divisions, Wisco is the biggest competition to OSU until PSU gets a new coach. They have been a Buckeye killer over the past two years, why not root for them on the field and on the recruiting trail?
We play Wisco twice in six years (I believe) and we play OSU six times in six years. (Barring any meet ups in the championship game) There is going to be competition in the Big 10 no matter what, it comes along with being a top tier conference. I would rather have Wisco continually beat the snot out of OSU...they deserve it.
Silly me for wanting the better teams in the Big 10 to a) beat OSU on a consistent basis and b) be more competitive of the national stage.
This is a mammoth get for the gophers.
I really like it when a good prospect picks a low tier B1G program. Keeps them away from better programs, but doesn't help them so much that they become a consistent legitimate threat.
Good for Minnesota. Good for the Big Ten as well. Not that he was considering schools outside of the Big Ten, but this helps strengthen one of the teams that is historically in the bottom half of our conference.
Impressed with Minnesota and Indiana so far. Legends Division could be a gauntlet a few years down the road, with Minnesota potentially turning it around and Northwestern quickly gaining ground. I almost feel the success of Stanford helps NW out in recruiting, NW being the Stanford of the Midwest.
That's two 4-stars for Minny. Andre McDonald is 4-star on rivals.
That's as good as State!
Have a good four years at Minnesota. Can't go wrong with representing your home state.
I wonder if he's related to the Pirsig who wrote 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'?
As was previously mentioned if things go good for us, and things go as expected for Wisconsin we would be seeing them in Indianapolis. I think that the best place for him to go is Minnesota . . . obviously not IOWA, I really dont know how they do it year in and year out. Farentz is a little bit of a douche but he and his staff have gotten it done the last several years.
Real nice pick-up for them, might be their top recruit this cycle
Another one that Ohio whiffed on.
