Discuss man is back.

Likely because he hasn't participated in any underwear olympics, he has no stars.

For someone who hasn't camped, that's an interesting offer list. How in the world did a no name Michigan guy get evaluated and offered by Oregon?

It's actually three words.
Weeelllll.... Brady Hoke.
I'll clap myself out.
February 13th, 2016 at 12:41 PM ^
My wife isn't a footbal fan but that is all she knows of Hoke, the freaking clapping and me making jokes about the van down by the river as she heard him speak.
I just always imagined him eating pizza and donuts and talking about having a great week of practice while clapping at the same time.
Great guy but horrible head coach but Thank God for Harbaugh.
Oh and fuck Dave Brandon too.

Or maybe he just doesn't use a Brita water filter.
Not trying to offend anyone- I realize that there are real people with real water problems in MI.

If he has zero stars but major offers, it's unlikely he's even been evaluated.

It means the coach has evauted the player before rivals, 247, etc have. He's just not in their database yet.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, this was always how recruiting happened

Then there's this. Only a single 2* rating in June.

We're talking about commitments. The number of players unranked at the time of their offers is not small.

A 0 star indicates that they haven't been rated. A 1star means that they have been rated and they're not that good.

I love paella! interesting Oregon and BYU showing some interest early, in addition to B1G schools. 6'4 270, looks smaller than that in the profile pic though.

I immediately thought of Stephen Paea too, but I can't find anything online connecting him to the state of Michigan.
February 13th, 2016 at 5:33 AM ^
I don't know but he played for the Bears for 4 years.
February 12th, 2016 at 11:54 PM ^
and MSU, Michigan, Oregon, and BYU offers are not indicative of an unranked guy. Should probably be in 3* range at minimum
February 13th, 2016 at 12:20 AM ^
It will be interesting to see where he gets ranked to start. With the quality of early offers he has, it sure seems like he might be a high 3-star at minimum. I have a feeling though, that the services will bide their time in properly rating him, to avoid giving the immediate impression that they just missed him.
February 13th, 2016 at 12:21 AM ^
With his offer list he should be rated. If Harbaugh and or Drevno offer with their professional experience developing linement. He definetley should be a three star. It is all about camping.
February 13th, 2016 at 12:31 AM ^
JaRaymond Hall is already committed and Jordan Reid out of Cass Tech was offered a while ago. Must be a good year for offensive lineman in Michigan.
February 13th, 2016 at 5:22 AM ^
We offered four in-state lineman that I can think of in the 2016 class:
- Michael Onwenu (Michigan)
- Cameron Kolwich (Northwestern)
- Michael Jordan (Ohio State)
- Alaric Jackson (Iowa)

I'm not sure if he got NLI paperwork, but Michigan reportedly offered him on the Monday before National Signing Day.

I've had my eye on Paea for a bit. He's a very interesting prospect. He's not a new convert to football or anything, but he's still very raw. I'm beginning to think that's just par for the course for kids from Berrien Springs, because they've had some talent over the years (Michigan recruited Jhonathan Williams out of high school and as a transfer from Notre Dame) that has also been raw. Especially defensively, Paea doesn't look like he has a clue about proper technique, but he destroys people. He's a little more polished on offense.
