OT/PSA: MI State High School Football Finals are on

Today's not the Friday after Thanksgiving, but it is at least still a Friday.  Fox Sports Detroit.

My alma mater (Warren De La Salle) down 13-0 to Muskegon Mona Shores at the half.  This game has sort of become the "Alabama vs Clemson" of the D2 playoffs, they meet up a lot!

Anyone who gets a chance to watch West Bloomfield's game tomorrow should tune in. We've all seen highlights of 5-star backs, but watching Edwards in a full game against an excellent defense was seeing something special. The guy is explosive through traffic and plays angry--something Michigan desperately needs more of, IMO. I am super excited to see this guy suit up next fall.

Speaking of Michigan HS sports, I saw a headline about a "Hamilton freestyler," and my mind immediately went to Lin-Manuel Miranda, the freestyle rapper who created the musical Hamilton.

Rooting for Mona Shores all the way (Muskegon being just a half hour from here), and also rooting against your coach at De La Salle, Dan Rohn.

Although I'm not going to post details, I have (on authority of several people close to the situation while Rohn coached at my alma mater GR West Catholic) plenty of reason to dislike the guy.

Let's just put it this way: Urban Meyer has a clone in a lot of unsavory ways.

Any offense from Rose is impressive since the entire focus of every defense is always on him. His offensive production despite that is amazing. De La Salle held him in check better than anyone because their linebackers are really outstanding

Congrats to Shores, that's impressive.

I can remember them being an absolute doormat for a lot of years as Muskegon and MCC and WMC picked off all their talent, for them to become an athletic power seems kinda strange.

Glad to see Centreville win Division 8.  Went to school there through 6th grade.  They were never considered a football power in that area before this season.
