OT: Zeke Pike suspended from HS playoff game
Remember when were hoping that Zeke Pike would choose us, well, i guess we dodged that headache. This is the second time he has been suspended in one year

he also had a incident at a 7 on 7 where he threw the ball at a Ref

"God told him" to choose Auburn. Anyone think God told him to use synthetic marijuana as well?
Good thing we missed on this kid.

Worked for Alex Legion

was a misunderstanding...to lazy and uninterested to read
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:05 PM ^
As with any kid, hope he can right the ship!
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Haha when we lead for him its downplayed like its no big deal, but now that he's going elsewhere he's got some serious issues... just saying.

he also had a incident at a 7 on 7 where he threw the ball at a Ref
lol

He's just a really big fan of Varsity Blues, I'm sure

Never tell a kid with a cannon for an arm to "Fire that pigskin Boy!"
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:16 PM ^
But more sad, but he is a kid and a kid is going to make mistakes, but be very thankful for a kid like Shane Morris. I just remember when we were bummed out when he chose Auburn, but look at what this kid "Could" bring to any college program. Zeke has great potential, but i will take Shane Morris in a year over Zeke Pike and his off the field antics. I expect things to happen when a kid is at college, but at High School and there are already problems. No Bueno.
THIS IS MICHIGAN!!
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:18 PM ^
It's just pot, not a big deal. Definitely doesn't seem like a big enough deal to post considering it's one game for something so little.
November 3rd, 2011 at 1:32 AM ^
I also think that your opinion, while possibly very valid, is a little too cavalier considering everything Zeke has on the line- playoffs, potential title, graduation, scholarship etc. If Auburn wanted to pull his scholy they now have pretty convenient excuse if need be.
November 3rd, 2011 at 9:49 AM ^
Ask Baraka how that worked out for him?
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:25 PM ^
So, would you want players playing for MICHIGAN who are using pot? For god sakes, THIS IS MICHIGAN!! I know it has happened, but it brings a shadow onto the program, don't ya think?

and I will probably be negged for this, but a surprising amount of college athletes smoke weed. And yes, that even happens here at Michigan. Overall it may be less then at some other schools, but lets not completely act that it does not exist. There are a fair amount of Michigan athletes out there (past, current, and inevitably future) who are/will be smoking the ganja. So lets please not act like we are perfect and above it.
November 2nd, 2011 at 9:44 PM ^
I hope this is being sarcastic. Otherwise, um, they might struggle to field a team for 7-on-7 (as would most programs in America).
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:26 PM ^
The moral quality of Michigan athletes is greater than the moral quality of SEC athletes. He wouldn't fit in at Michigan.
November 2nd, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
Because no one, and I mean no one, has ever smoked weed at Michigan.
November 3rd, 2011 at 9:45 AM ^
Are we talking about the same Michigan where the thing to do at halftime (for fans, not players) was to head to the southeast corner of the stadium, there by Crisler, and have a halftime toke? Those were the days... I bet most of the D.A.R.E. grads on here have no idea about that.
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:30 PM ^
I didn't realize you could test for Mr. Nice Guy or K2.. All those chemicals haven't been researched either. I'm willing to bet they are much worse than cigarettes..

I live in Northern Kentucky and I have heard that Auburn has already pulled their offer for Pike and that he was trying to get back in touch with Michigan but I can't see them wanting to take on a kid with the headaches this one comes with. I saw him play earlier this year in person and he does have the size and the arm but I am not sure about his neck up and his team was terrible.

THIS GUY IS ACTING LIKE A TOTAL TEENAGER!
November 2nd, 2011 at 8:58 PM ^
are kids really having that much trouble finding real ganja.
As far as midwest schwag goes Kentucky used to grow some of the best.
November 2nd, 2011 at 9:40 PM ^
Clearly you aren't connected in the midwest.. It pays to know people.

The Mallett is strong with this one...

WHO'S GOT SOME FUCKIN K2 FOR RYAN MALLETT?
November 2nd, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
Pike will fit in perfectly at Auburn. They will just see him as a good ol boy with a cannon for an arm.

I think that was the joke.

At least someone could figure it out

Yeah, dudes smoke weed sometimes, but this is unacceptable for a kid that wants to play D1 football. I personally wouldn't want him on this team. To toke up before a game is absurd. No thanks.
November 3rd, 2011 at 1:44 PM ^
I know kids who play for Sparty and Western and a huge number of players smoke weed. Not uncommon at all.
November 6th, 2011 at 9:57 PM ^
You are right. This is n't his first time. He was caught with marijuana in middle school. ONe girl still has consistent nose bleeds because he slammed a dodge ball on her face when he was losing. bad news with this guy
November 6th, 2011 at 10:00 PM ^
check his record. He has a history of violence and alcohol issues. Expelled from prom last year for showing up drunk
November 3rd, 2011 at 8:30 AM ^
I love the reaction every time a former player does anything remotely wrong: "Dodged a bullet with this one!!!11!1!1!1!"
When he kills five hookers or flames out and brings down an entire program a la TPryor then we can talk about dodging a bullet...its POT. its like the Apple Pucker of drugs...
November 3rd, 2011 at 9:43 AM ^
lol Apple Pucker...loved that sh*t back in the day.

My two sons went to elementary school with him. The bullying from him was so bad I removed them from the public school and put them in private school. He wouldv'e been kicked out in a private school the first day. These issues have been long coming.

Lafayette 28, Dixie Heights 14
It was probably not as close as the score--it was 28-0 at the half and Lafayette won despite 4 turnovers. Meanwhile, without Pike Dixie Heights started the game with a fumble and four three-and-outs netting zero yards.
