OT - Your NCAA Final 4 Bracket and Tomorrow's Games

Mates,

Our team may be out of it by the unfortunate hair of their chiny-chin-chin, but the final 4 goes on.  The schedule looks like this:

On my final 4 bracket I only had UNC, and I have them winning the whole shootin' match.  I have to admit I picked that one with my head, not my heart since that's like picking Al Capone to win a tax fraud contest.   

I am in a pool and am assured of 3rd place since the two ahead of me also picked UNC.

So the questions are:

1.  Who is left in your final 4?

2.   How are you doing in your group/pool, assuming you threw into a pool?

3.   Obligatory, it's Friday, what are you drinking?

Have a great weekend.  Sun is coming out.  Heading downstate to see family and some other stuff.

though I also had them losing to Michigan, who went on to win it all. I would like to see a South Carolina-Oregon final, but Im beginning to suspect this is Gonzaga's year. I'm drinking Oberon at the moment, listening to Our Lady Peace and trying to avoid my wife's tiresome manipulation efforts.

Cool story bro...I work in downtown Phoenix and they have a ton of Final Four festivities down here. I think the group is NABC and Coaches vs. Cancer stuff as part of the festivities with coaches from all over the country regardless of size. Anyways, as I am walking in I see a huge crowd around a coach as he is walking out of the convention and towards the hotels - our own Coach B. I didn't stop him but yelled Go Blue! He stopped and looked back and gave me a fist pump and said Go Blue! Came over and I told him I was an alum out here...shook my hand and said thanks for the support and Go Blue. It was great...very cool. I over hear a few other coaches saying he has a different mind...unreal how he thinks of breaking down the offense. I walk a bit further and Coach Self is there...standing alone. Not a damn soul around him just checking his cell phone. A distant troll yells..."is Josh Jackson in trouble again?". Nice...anyways...Go Blue and nice to see us in our Jumpman gear and other coaches trying to get insight.

Your story reminded me of the time I saw Bo Schembechler at LAX. I was returning from visiting my parents in Michigan for the Holidays. This was after Michigan beat WSU in the Rose Bowl to win the National Championship. At first I was doubtful that it was Bo, but then I made the connection to the game and realized he must have been in LA for the game. So as we were passing each other in the concourse I caught his eye and yelled, "Go Blue Bo!" He looked at me in total confusion. It was at that moment I realized that man was not Bo Schembechler.

Anyone got any action yet on the games?  I am still debating if I should pull any triggers, but I currently like the 'dogs in both games with SC at +6.5 and Oregon at +5.

In my pool (of only 5) to have points left to gain because I picked UNC to win it all. Everyone else picked Nova or Duke. If UNC wins one more game, I'm assured victory.

I have Gonzaga over UNC in my family pool so I'm one of four people who can still win.

I had Nova over UNC in my work pool, so I'm out of that one.

Unfortunately the work pool pays five hundred dollars and the family pool pays zero dollars.

I'm drinking beer.

Drinking coffee because I'm working late from home. Need to sleep soon so I can wake up in the morning. Tax season.

Looking good in my bracket. Currently in 94th percentile nationally according to ESPN. Think my floor is 3rd in the work pool of 50+ people, and in the money. Currently 2nd and have UNC-Gonzaga in the final, with UNC winning the whole thing. When I started I didn't like the UNC pick but every few years I get lucky, I guess.

I have unc winning it all, and they're my only remaining final four team. If unc wins tonight and Gonzaga loses, I am assured of winning the money pool. If unc and Gonzaga both win, it will come down to the championship game. If Gonzaga beats unc, I come in third. First place gets 392, second gets 112, third gets 56. In short, my rooting interests tonight are unc and usc.
