Game 3 Tonight for the Red Wings. First home playoff game for Detroit of the 2014 playoffs.

Daniel Alfredsson is out. In is Jokiam Andersson. This will be his first game played in the 2014 playoffs. Andersson played 14 games last year as a rookie.
Jakub Kindl replaces Alfredsson at the point, along with Danny DeKeyser) on the second power-play unit (joining Tomas Tatar, Riley Sheahan and Jurco).

He got paid and he doesn't give a shit. He literally has no incentive to try again with the length of that deal.

The silver lining is that the Wings have two years before his salary goes down, from 5 million to 3.5; 2 million for a year and 1 million for the final two.
The cap hit doesn't go down though, 3.9 million for the duration.

I've never understood how the Wings can never get any shots on a power play that doesn't come from a shitty angle or the blue line. I also wouldn't mind seeing Bertuzzi get out there and sit his ass in front of the net. He can't do any worse than that over paid slug Franzen.
At least put Andersson out there. He's big enough and you free up Franzen to shoot.
