OT: Redwings at Coyotes EDIT (now overtime) 2nd edit now shoot out- WINGS WIN!

Submitted by Mich_Faithful on
Slow night, figured why not. Puck should be dropping soon ( 9pm start), would be nice to improve our away record with a win tonight. Jimmy is in net tonight. Sorry for the formatting I'm on my iPod and/ or lack of info. I believe the wings get to .500 on the road with a win tonight( could be wrong).

Wish I could get the Wings here in Wisconsin :(

Sorry to thread-jack here, but is anyone else having trouble viewing the Pipkins tweet thread?  It will only let me view like the first 10 posts.

In the last few weeks, they go a few comments deep then they just kind fade out.  If you have the mobile app the whole thread is viewable (as are some other things usually hidden, like comments by caved trolls and stuff like that).

I'm guessing that it might be a coding bug, but that's just guess, as I have no experience in web design whatsoever.

Also.  GO WINGS!

if the game goes as its gone so far, the wings should win.  with the exception of one or two bad TOs, we've outplayed the yotes.  the pp has looked good - the puck just hasn't gone in.

Deju vu all over again.  Wings outplay opponent.  Wings outshoot opponent.  Wings carry puck into opponents end and keep pressure on for entire period.  Wings hit posts with shots.  Oppenent goalie makes saves that he has never made before and never will again.  Opponent has one minor rush and puck takes a series of wierd hops and somehow finds back of wings net.

Isnt that basically the recap to every wings playoff loss for the past 15 years?

i dunno.  maybe that applies against some of the low seeds we lost to after the lockout.  but san jose has had our number the past two years.  those series were hard to watch cuz there were times where we really did get outplayed.

also, we didn't outshoot phx in the first.  13-12 phx, thanks to the blocked shots and posts.

If you haven't seen it yet, really nice article on one of my favorite current Wings on ESPN today:

Jimmy's whole demeanor really reminds me of Osgood. Soft-spoken but just goes out there and gets it done. I was pretty happy he got named to the All-Star team, as he very much deserved to be.

let me say this about the Wings, Detroit is on a roll right now. This team looks well oiled and in its prime even! Bertuzzi has been lights out since the away game in Chicago a few weeks ago. He has to be on a point streak right now he's been dynamite!

Whatever random channel this game is being carried on in my neck of the e-woods apparently doesn't have commercials and keeps live stadium audio. I know, "cool story bro", but watching this Phoenix fan yawn while the announcer announces is 100x better than any commercial message.
