Contrary to what Blue in South Bend says, though, I think of them as the Lions of the NHL. Yes, they once were very good, but no one under the age of 50 remembers it.
(No one under 60 remembers the Lions winning a championship because the Lions have a ten-year head start on the Leafs. The Lions last championship was 1957, the Leafs last was in 1967.)
The NHL has had a nice streak over the last 20 years or so of the team that has gone the longest without the Cup finally winning the title...

CHEATERS!!!! man i hate the sharks. My inner conspiracy theorist is coming out right now. I am starting to believe bettman told the refs to call bs penalties against the wings so the sharks can make it past the wings.
I hate refs as much as the next man, but when you hit a guy in the face with a stick, that's usually a penalty.
Doubt it, they didn't really need the refs at all last year. Plus the Pens are out so Bettman probably couldn't care less anymore.
I am sorry but the entire cup playoffs last year was completely fixed towards the hawks, It wasn't even funny, There was so many bullcrap tripping and interference calls last year. Don't get me started on the cup finals against the pens especially both of them. Bettman was trying his hardest to get Cindy his frist cup. Remember the bullcrap interference on Hudler in '08 in the cup clinching game with 2 min left? and how the refs let the pens keep wacking away at Ozzy for 30 seconds.
Bettman wants a west coast team to win. Watch for favorable calls towards both the Canucks and the sharks. Anything to make it seem that west coast fans care about hockey when Job.ing arena was 75% Wings fans.
Michigan State Hockey continues to suck... only now, it's messing with a team I actually like.

We really don't look like a championship quality team right now. Case in point, San Jose uses a double minor to win game 1, we get a double minor and spend 90% of it flailing around trying to just keep te puck in the Sharks zone, let alone get a damn shot off. We're also beong badly outskated, this is not good.

Its cause there canaidan's they hate the red wings and the love the sharks there entire roster of good players is entirely canaidan minus pavelski. The wings are playing better there not letting the sharks dictate the pace. lots of hockey left in this game esp only being down 1 a lot can happen. everyone relax... this team knows what exactly to do let them do it.

Perfect example is Justin Abdulkator (sprarty) has played 17 playoff games the past 2 seasons and has 48 penalty mins in those games.
