OT: Red Wings Game 2 Open Thread
are from mixing it up after the whistle though, I think he has couple of playoff fights as well. Even though he is sparty, I like the way he plays. He plays physical and with an edge.
So take 10 mins off of the total and still is averaging over a penalty per game. I don't care how many are "after the whistle" you can never draw that many penalties to even it out.

Yet ANOTHER penalty not called on San Jose. When the NBC announcers are saying a penalty should have been called...a penalty SHOULD HAVE been called.

Without a minor to Eager, then the team doesn't really have to suffer, sure he is out, but they don't have to be shorthanded. The official was telling him to go to the box before he motioned the misconduct. Then Rafalski turns around and makes a dumb mistake.

Howard has had to make tougher saves than Niemi in this game as well. LOL at the Howard chant from these idiot Shark fans, after he has stoned their players a couple of times.
The Wings need to spend more time in the offensive zone, way too much time in the defensive zone in this series. It seems like an endless cycle for San Jose in the offensive zone.

Just got home and I see the Wings are down but how have they looked? From the last few minutes I've seen not so good.

Damn.. I was hoping that the break wasn't going to be an issue for them but they didn't look great in game one and right now they just look slow. Babcock needs to light a fire during this intermission.
A lot like game 1. Refs make iffy calls. We look outmatched. We've had some chances, but of course the Wings run into a goalie that suddenly decides to get hot.
Wings have been better at even strength, compared to game 1, but not as good as they need to be. But both sides of special teams haven't been good at all. Wings couldn't even score on a double minor in the 1st. Sharks goal was on the PP.
First good chances of the 2nd. Lets go Boys!

like game 1 Howard is the only reason this game is close. I just can't believe how slow the Wings look.
