OT: North Korea World Cup Roster Idiocy
One of North Korea's strikers was listed as a keeper on the roster and therefore may not play as a striker.
WOW. Well done North Korea, well done...
I really hope this was done on purpose, because if it's a mistake who knows what might happen to whoever made the mistake.
This would be a lot more funny if it wasn't likely the offending party will be tortured/killed.
than Nazi Germany.
Dammit, Kim Jong-Il, when we said you were in the Group of Death, that didn't mean you had to kill someone!
Welll they had no real shot. They play Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast.
Yeah, I'm not going to laugh. You know this is going to end in tragedy.
Those crazy FIFA capitalists. They don't understand that in a Communist utopia, you can play striker and keeper - at the same time!
For Dear Leader to step in as striker and save the day.
He's gonna be so ronery there on the siderine.
Embedding of this link disabled by YouTube, but if you've ever seen A Christmas Story, you know the clip I'm talking about ... Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra ...
Yeah, because that's not racist or anything
North Korea has an amazing sports history - Kim Jong Il shot a 38 under par with 5 hole-in-ones his first time out on North Korea's only golf course, which is 7700 yards long, longer than any course in the US.
He also bowled a 300 his first time bowling.
I suspect he will be the only player on the North Korea soccer team and they will win every game 100-0.
The other teams will be so scared of his awesomeness, that'll they'll refuse to take the field.
KJ IL will replace the striker. Also, their real keeper will be a faulty North Korean made nuclear warhead.
I mean, what do you expect for a guy whose birth was heralded by a double rainbow and the coming of swallows?
I just thought he was into rainbows and the swallowing of c.... nevermind.
for the lives of my unborn children just reading this
it didn't even list him as a goalkeeper.. the sheet submitted really looked like this:
Player: Kim Myong Won
Position: Goarie
i fear for the entire n. korean team ...
they are going to get destroyed hardcore ... atleast twice by 4-5 and lose a third by a closer margin just cause one of there three opponents wont play hard
i just hope its not going to cause a situation like that when iraq's team dissapointed under saddam and were punished by being forced to kick concrete soccer balls till there feet literally broke
You mean how Kim Jong Il was listed as a starter at every position?
Heads will roll--seriously. I'd defect now if I were in South Africa with them.
Won't matter to the average North Korean. They'll be told their country won the Cup anyway.
This is almost as bad as the time they tried to do the Iron Lotus.
I don't think this is a mistake. They probably have a secret formation or something. Goal keeper can also attack. why not? he can score in FK, PK, anyway he want. Besides, someone said he's good at saving PK.
Brad Labadie is now in charge of filling out N. Korea's roster form.
Coming out of the gate strong, son...keep it up.
Should be black-balled from events like these. The atrocities of their government are far too evil for them to be invited to an event meant to bring people together through athletic competition.
Commence the invasion.
Signed,
Dear Leader
N. Korea has already filmed their 7 games for the national broadcast...
Wait a minute here. You expected anything sane out of North Korea?
North Korea won't even broadcast their games unless the performance is deemed acceptable by 4-eyes.
I sort of have my doubts the Cup will ever see the light of day inside North Korea. That runs the risk of the subjects seeing something the government doesn't want them to. That place is like Camazotz, only less prosperous.
I seem to remember reading somewhere (and I don't remember where, so no link) that the North Korean government has already decided that the WC games will not be broadcast at all.
I figure this will enable them to tell the populace that they won the WC, just like their fearless leader had 5 holes-in-one the first time he golfed (as mentioned somewhere above).
