Thank god the Lions kept Akers instead of Rugland. That personnel decision is already paying dividends.

tried out for a couple teams including the Packers who need help with kicker and didn't get the job. He's just not ready for primetime.

This is the beginning of the end for Schwartz and Linehan. Terrible coaching decisons augmented by inept play equals a losing season.

That one playoff season really was a red herring. This team has been poorly coached for most of his tenure.

A red herring is a false forshadowing, leading people down the wrong path. So, he's right to use it in that context.

Once Bush went out it seemed like everybody developed a serious case of stone hands. Twice in the 2nd half Pettigrew drops likely 1st down coversions on 3rd and longs, thus forcing a punt and a short field for the Cardinals. The Lions were behind down and distance the whole game because the defense couldn't get 3 and outs and the offense couldn't get a first down in the 2nd half.

all have in common?
All three were passed up by the Lions in the first round of the 2009 draft in favor of Brandon Pettigrew.

the Vikings wanted Harvin gone plus he's always hurt. Oher is just an average starting RT who is no better than Reiff, Fox or Hillard. Clay Matthews is a better fit as a 3-4 OLB than at DE.

God I hate how Golden Tate says Notre Dame in his player intro. Sounds like such a fucking tool. But would expect less from someone named Golden?

Seahawks game...holy hell listen to that place roar. That's what the Big House would sound like if everyone actually paticipated.

It's the acoustic design. Seattle and Autzen are designed to keep in the sound, Michigan is not, although I have noticed keeping in the sound has been better since the renovations.
