OT: My search for another Michigan gLogo
A year ago I posted a thread in search of another Michigan Glogo and just general questions on if anyone had seen one before.
The glogo is a Block M that suction cups to the inside of your car window and when plugged in your car lighter outlet, it lights up. It was made by a long gone company called Lighted Logos LC and was made someone during the mid-2000s judging by the packaging that mine came in. I stumbled upon on eBay last year new in box somehow-
mgoblog contributor Blue and Joe (the same guy who developed the downloadable Valiant font that is Michigan’s official font) said in that thread he had a buddy who had one and used it years ago when they were going to a game. After almost a year of me searching and finding nothing, I decided to hit him up and see if his friend would be interested in selling his.
Amazingly, he found it after being packed away for a long time and it still worked. We made a deal and my search that I started here a year ago is over.

When I read Seth's reply in that thread, I thought, "How come I'm not part of the vast majority of sane human beings came for the good content, as I at first did, but proceeded not to get sucked down into the board?"

Next project is getting something that plays The Victors outside of my car. Sort of like how an ice cream truck has its music it plays on the outside. Not sure how that’s done but I’ll have to look into it.

I have one just like that, problem is that after having it for a couple years, it started to constantly blow fuses. Since I haven't tossed it yet maybe I'll see if it can be fixed.

Ha, very cool. I actually have one of these as well. Living in Chicagoland and being a soccer coach for my daughter on the weekends means I don't make it to very many games anymore. If you ever want to buy another one, I could probably be convinced to part with mine.

Given the availability of LED strips, wouldn't it be pretty easy to just fashion one into a Block M? If you were good, you could make it with two colors.... =)
