OT: Minnesota playing SMU for NIT title
Close game late. I do not miss this being our biggest accomplishment though.
Michigan has a football team?
/s but basketball has definitley taken my mind off how depressing the last couple seasons have been.
Show me.
Minnesota's coach looks likes Scott Disick
He looks like Rick Pitino
Rick Pitino looks like the crypt keeper.
He looks like Tim Roth.
Rick Pitino out there trying to coach from the stands. How about sitting back and letting your son handle this one.
Why would you make that?
SMU eFG% - 53.33%
Minnesota eFG% - 56.12%
SMU OREB% - 30.77%
Minnesota OREB% - 23.33%
SMU free throw rate - 48.89%
Minnesota free throw rate - 34.69%
Combine that with the fact that each team had 14 TOs and, yeah, it's many things that you would expect from an NIT win.
did someone say Hookers?
turrible. i just looked at his final game at UM; losing to FSU in the NIT. 6 assists and 21 TOs. if that doesn't opitimize tommy amaker, i don't know what does.
No. Minny won 65-63.
What's better NIT championship or first round NCAA Tournament bounce?
The tournament. If you have to be in the NIT, winning it is OK, but it's never better than being in the NCAA tournament.
We won the 2004 NIT, but no one remembers that. They do remember that we didn't make the tournament between 1998 and 2009.
