OT-McDaniels fired

It is a lot easier to hate McDaniels though. After a Belichick-style spygate move, fighting/trading off the best players on the team as soon as he got to town, and just generally being an arrogant jackass from the time he took the job, I am happy to see him go. I think his ego is the biggest barrier to him ever being a successful head coach in the NFL.

Patriots offensive coordinator lets his arrogance get the best of him in his new role as head coach. Where have I heard this before? I'd say the Chiefs could find a place for him in the land of misfit ex-Pats, but that whole Haley thing has me thinking 'probably not.'

Obviously, it's been shown that Josh was over his head with a head coaching gig, but would any of us have turned down the opportunity if it were presented to us? If I were a middle management guy (like a coordinator), I would still accept a job as a corporate head if it came up. I think any one of us would do the same.

Surprised they pulled the trigger so fast, considering it wasn't even McDaniels who pushed Cutler out or led to Tebow being drafted.  Ah well, can he coach the defense in college?

I don't think driving off Cutler and Marshall is a strike against him. Orton has been better than Cutler, who is a pompous asshole. The win. - loss record and your other reasons are pretty good though.
