It says something about the organization when it issues a press release to announce that it's NOT firing the coach.

whatever, I guess. No sense buying out one contract and taking on another for what looks to be another rough year ahead. Heres to hoping this upcoming draft class will pan out for them.

that tickets are $5 a seat next year (includes hot dog and a soft drink!) to get anyone to show up in the stands.

They didn't do themselves any favors by winning those games down the stretch as far as their lottery position. I hate to see teams tank games at the end of the year, but they are currently sitting down in God forbid, Cole Aldrich territory unless they get a fortunate bounce of the ball in the lottery and move up a few spots.
Kuester is actually a decent coach though, that roster needs some serious house cleaning.

Why do you go on like a 3 game win streak, and then win your last game (vs. a team that CAN afford to win a game and not hurt their position), and move from #3 amount of ping pong balls (yes, I know that's not how they do it anymore...it was just cooler that way), to the 7th? Especially in a draft that goes maybe 5 deep?
I don't know what their plan is to get better, but it better involve some lottery shenanigans. Because you don't trade a 27 win team into the playoffs.
"You play to win the game."

Doesn't matter who's coaching the team at this point. Until they get a decent big man they're not going anywhere.

lol.. I remember the start of the season... some of you guys were sure the Pistons would make the playoffs....

If I were to write what I really think of the way the season has played out in Detroit, it wouild involve so many obscenities that it would show up as [post redacted].
I use to think Joe was the best GM out there. He built a champion out of smoke and mirrors in a city that free agents avoid like the plague. This edition, however, from the coaching staff to the way the team is built, looks like something Isiah Thomas could have done.
I am going to stop before the obsecnities start flowing.
... Detroit has an NBA franchise?
and they have a coach named Kuester?
WAY TO WIN GAMES LATE AND RUIN YOUR LOTTERY STANDING IDIOTS
Great now they can get Lebron, he loves Kuester!!!!!!!!!!!
oh wait
What the hell did Curry do?!?
so that's the coaches name...
I didn't realize Piston Honda had a coach.
