OT - Jordan Jefferson has 49 pairs of shoes seized by police

Submitted by white_pony_rocks on

wonder where he got the money to buy 49 pairs of shoes?  if those shoes were all around $80, which isn't unreasonable to think, then he spent close to $4000 on shoes.  and its probably safe to assume he has a fair amount of dress shoes (maybe, not sure if there is any place to wear dress shoes in baton rouge)  i doubt the NCAA will read this and look into it though.

edit: here is the link, they are looking for evidence of the fight he was in

"News" like this makes me shake my head at the society we are living in.

A 21-year-old kid has an excessive number of shoes where he lives, this actually gets reported on and people with no vested interest are passing it on as if it is something scandalous that should demand our attention as if someone is being seriously harmed and if you don't look out, you could be next.

Big fucking deal.

live alone? 49 pairs is still a lot for a 2 or 3 person residence, but if each of them had 5-6 pair from the athletic department they wouldn't need that many pair to make the numbers work.

With the equipment deals most major schools sign, don't the players get a bunch of free shoes and other clothing?  Is there a limit placed on this by the NCAA?  Obviously if there wasn't they'd be tempted to sell the extra shit to people.

I have around 50 pairs. Mainly because I talk care of my shoes and never get rid of them. Since I've had the same sized feet since 16 and I'm now 22, you can see how easy it would be to go over 50 pairs taking into consideration how style, and personal preference changes.

Oh, I also deal crack.

Maybe he was trading Autographed shoes for weed and the deal went bad at the bar/club. So he keep it real and kicked the crackheads head in. That seams reasonable! Somehow I am getting this weird feeling that this incident and the investigation at TSIO is some how connected.

49 pairs of shoes really isn't that much. I have over 60 pairs and I can say that I roughly spent close to 6k. So, Mr. Jefferson must be getting some kind of special treatment.

and I felt like I got a new pair of shoes almost every week.  49 pairs seems like alot for a dude to have, but literally they would give us a new pair of cleats/tennis shoes/basketball shoes/ pretty much whatever we asked for.

a few years ago when Suh was still at Nebraska, the local news had a report he was in a fender bender and they showed a picture of it. He crashed his Land Rover! What college student can afford a land rover? Nobody questioned it.

I'm in college now and this prompted me to go count all the pairs of shoes I have.

1 pair Sperry's

1 pair dress shoes

2 pairs Pumas (not sure if they actually fit)

1 pair basketball shoes

1 pair golf shoes

2 pairs running shoes, one for mowing the lawn

1 pair football cleats

1 pair boots

1 pair sandals

So 11 pairs of shoes counting ones with very conditional uses and some which I haven't even worn this year since I got them back in high school and my style has changed. I can't imagine having roughly 4 times as many shoes as I do.

I easily own 25+ pairs of shoes...

At least six pairs of tennis/running shoes

At least nine pairs of dress shoes

Two pairs of soccer shoes

Three pairs of baseball/softball shoes

Two pairs of basketball shoes

Four pairs of sandals/flip flops

One pair of deck shoes

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of them right now.
