OT: Glenn Winston 6 months in jail
for what?
Seriously???
The "fight" he took part in at their residence hall with the 8473 other football players.
never heard of it.
under the rock where you're living?
i dont know but i think there was sarcasm there...
Well, the pic doesn't show up for some reason. :-/
Good news for Dantonio, looks like he'll be ready for the season.
Does visiting a player in jail count as extra practice time?
MSU has found a loophole in the rulebook. Players in prison can work out more than 20 hours a week.
Unlimited push ups in a 5' by 10' cell.

Offseason conditioning program turns MSU players into man beasts, RR caught taking notes.
He will be back just in time for our game!
Third (or is it fourth?) chances for everyone! (Except Michigan recruits)
He will be out just in time to make his yearly trek up to EL to play a little ball.
looking at the posts above... At least I am slow if also unoriginal. :(
So he's out just in time for the Michigan game. Coincidence?
Edit: wow beaten to the punch twice. That's what I get for taking too much time to fact check.

Winston's been beating everybody to the punch recently

TJ... Never let facts get in the way of a good story.
(as a reference, see Freep)
Gonna quote Ezeh-E on top RR moments:
"4) Brandon Graham knocks Glenn Winston back into 2008, and Glenn begs to be sent back to prison. This hit is amazing on a lot of levels, but the fact that it came so close to the goal-line highlights Graham's hart. He'll be missed."
Somehow I feel like he's going to have more experiences like this one when he goes to prison this summer. Meanwhile the Freep is applauding Dantonio for keeping his players under lock and key, safe from too many hours in spent on football.

Dantonio needs to keep them under lock and key or the State of Michigan will.
(Is it any coincidence that East Lansing is so close to Jackson?)
he will have more experiences like this one in prison, but it will hit him on the reverse side.
I have to keep clicking "replay" again and again and again and again and again and again...
that hit. It was just so good for so many reasons.
Brian Linthicum ith the tight end for the Thpartanth.
o hai lou holthz!
Dantonio likes what Michigan has done with Nick Sheridan and would really like for Jenrette and Winston to stick around to mentor his hooligan football team. Word is, the chess team's been giving Sparty's punter dirty looks in the student commons. Payback's a biatch, chessies.
will put a running clock in the locker room ticking down to Winston's release.
With the whole clock idea, however the first attempt at this backfired when it was determined that none of the Spartan players could actually tell time.
Dantonio kept the clock until daylight savings time confused him. He then blamed the whole incident on Mike Hart.
Additionally,Spartan Bob kept adding a second at the end of each play during spring practice and eventually the whole thing became impossible.
In an unrelated matter, the Freep has started an investigation into Rich Rodriguez's involvement in this as it has heard from unnamed sources that RR has a clock in his office.
Glenn Winston is voted 2010 MSU Football Captain.
Coach Dantonio said, "He's a fighter! I think he gained the respect the of the team when he took it to those frat boys. We don't usually see that kind of toughness in a Spartan player. Additionally, Glenn "Frat Hammer" Winston has also been recruiting from his new address. We have so far picked up commitments from 2 B & E's and a promising Assault & Battery. He is what our fans have come to expect from a Spartan leader."
Meanwhile the Freep claims it has uncovered proof that Rich Rodriguez was responsible for Winston's actions. A source inside the Freep said, "My mailman's brother's son knows a janitor at the frat house which said he had once seen Rodriguez at a football game at the Big House".
Winston was also at that game.
A six part expose will follow.
That my friend is pure Gold.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw winston punch a nerd at 31 flavors last night.

With sources as good as that, the Freep will want to know!

Great news!!! This gives me hope that I'll be named team captain for the Maize and Blue this fall!!
Sincerely,
Demar Dorsey
Does this mean Fred Smith (got 5 days) gets the standard jail to practice treatment?
has to fold laundry for two days before he can hit the field.
should have gotten at least a year!
Hopefully his 2nd time will turn his life around. He may never play football again, but he can become a productive member of society...hopefully.
As long as he has a copy of the playbook with him to study he should have no problem making the transition back onto the MSU football team; he'll already have access to one of the best strength and conditioning programs in the state, the Ingham County Jail Yard. Maybe they'll give him a pull-up bar for his cell, too.

Yet...anyways.
Unfortunately I have a family member who is in and out of jail quite often and I can tell you OTIS is updated quite infrequently. If you're really interested, the various county jails usually have their own rosters (I know the Oakland County Jail does for sure.)
is trying to line up a 180 day independent study in criminal justice.

How many times does this guy have to get banned before he gets the message?
Will the Freep even report that or are they too busy putting their thumb on Dorsey still?

I actually took a quick peek, and the story was buried in the midst of many other stories. You definitely wouldn't see it unless you were actively searching.

This is the highlight of UofM's basketball season.
