she has no such clause in her contract.  The actress you're thinking of is Shea (Tyrion's whore).  She actually used to be a German porn star and added the no more nudity clause to her contract in an attempt to be taken seriously by Hollywood.

So I imagine we'll be seeing Emilia in her b-day suit again sometime soon.

but I disagree about the first scene with the unsullied soldier. I think it was important to see they have human emotions and needs still and are just bottling them up as their trained. I think with their queen treating them like humans again has begun to unearth the far surpressed emotions. The scene in the bedroom with Loras at least shows the general attitude towards the Lannisters now that they're not really to be feared

I agree that Loras' scene felt really unnecessary. We've long known that he was gay, we already know that Margery is well aware of that, we also already know that she has been plotting to remove Cersei from King's Landing and Tommen. It really added nothing to the show. That was definitely a case of HBO reminding everyone that they're HBO. However, most of the sex scenes and nudity in the show tend to have a point, or at least provide an opportunity for characters to spout useful/interesting exposition.

"but this isn't late night porno’s on skin-i-max, its suppose to be a TV show, there is at least 1-2 sex scenes an episode now"

People have sex. It is counter-intuitive to hide it. Really this stems from the American culture where sex and nudity are taboo which is just odd if you think about it. In America, things get adult ratings for nudity and swearing too much. In other parts of the world, things get adult ratings for violence and gore, but I have never heard anyone talk about complain about how much gore is in the TV show.

Now, I do agree that some of the scenes are pointless. Loras' scene is the obvious one, although they did have some conversation about their plans going forward. Pod's brothel scene was another, although that led to some comic relief. Missandei's scene last season and the scene where the unsullied was killed are obviously there to build something between her and Grey Worm. A lot of these scenes are there for the transformation process of certain characters, so having them in the show rather than just alluded to is better way to go about the character development, IMO.

To JoeyB:

It is actually mentioned in the book that the Unsullied, once free'd, obviously can not have sex, but will pay just to feel another human being caress them.  I feel that scene was to show there is an uprising present in the city and convey the Unsullied's want to become more human in a way.

I also clearly understand sex is a part of world wide culture, again however, I do not tune in to GOT every Sunday to watch people have sex, I tune in to watch the show.  Putting sex in TV shows and Movies just to show people have sex, is childish.  In a show like this, were everyone is so worried about the story lines intertwining with the Books that they leave out a large part of the plot and important characters, its a waste of time.....  Its a TV show not JRock TPB's original adult film.....

though the sex didn't bother me, there is time for character development in there; and Martin has a crap load of character development to do. The books kind of touch on it, but don't spend as much time. That said, I don't think its crippling.

I've read all the books. I loved the TV show when I first started watching it (Dinklage is just so amazingly brilliant as Tyrion). What got me wasn't the sex, or the divergences of the show from the books, it was the torture scenes and the brutality. The more I started watching the show the more people who were absolute horrors that I wanted to die or be marginalized by events. But then they would (I.E. I wanted Theon to die/go away) and someone more horrible would replace them. I left the show feeling awful.

Now I know at least one counter argument is that 'Things were brutal back in the day'. Yeah, I get it. But at some point I think we cross over from knowledge of such things to voyueristic porn. I'm more of a guy who likes to know about it via something like Hardcore History's Wrath of the Kahns vs. bathe in it the way GOT seems to.

Just IMHO.

That whole Theon plot line from last season could have been completely written out of the show.  I mean, I hated his character, and I didn't feel bad for him at first, but jesus christ, they cut his dick off and turned him into an animal.  I do hope something awful happens to the bastard Bolton, soon.

I knew I shouldn't have clicked this, but it doesn't really matter damage had already been done over the last several months.

I've never, EVER seen a show so spoiled on random sites, games, etc.. as this one.

I had planned to read the books, and got midway through book 3, but knowing everyone that is going to die/win made me just say screw it and screw this series.

Whose fault is that? These threads have been around for the last few seasons and it is obvious that there are going to be spoilers. If you are googling the books, then that's on you too. It's not really that difficult to read the books before the seasons come out (I've read them as the show progressed), so don't complain about it in the damn thread dedicated to talking about the events of the show.

Unless you have read actual chapter summaries, I guarantee you do not know "everyone who is going to die/win." I was under the same impression before I actually read the novels, and I was dead wrong as to how much I thought I knew. You're dealing with thousands of pages- while the jist of the overall plot line may be spoiled for you, there is so much more that isn't talked about online that occurs in the story. Everyone always rags on AFFC, but I really enjoyed the iron born storyline, as well as other aspects of it, and ADWD, while boring at some points, was really really good as well. I'd say you are doing yourself a disservice by not finishing reading the books.
