OT - Ferris State coach Tony Annese suspended for Saturday's playoff game vs GVSU
Ya think Harbaugh's suspension is silly? It is, of course, but Annese is suspended because his players smoked victory cigars in the locker room following last year's D2 championship victory. Ferris had to pay cleaning costs and everything!
Just imagine if they'd eaten cheeseburgers, too!

i was at a coaching clinic a couple of years ago that he spoke at. at the time i really had no idea who he was but came away with the distinct impression that he was as amoral a person as you might ever meet. he just radiated 'sleeze'.

To be fair, the D2 title game is played at a high school (it's in Texas so the stadium holds like 15K) that has a tobacco-free campus and Ferris was reprimanded for doing the exact same thing the year prior.
I agree it's an overreach but it's not like it came completely out of nowhere.

I will say that this is ridiculous and he should not be suspended for this.
I will say that on a personal level I don't feel all that bad as Annese has been a crooked sleazeball for decades. Everywhere he has gone he has been shady as hell. Muskegon, GRCC, and Ferris.
