OT: Favre to Minnesota
Favre is so past his prime, it's ridiculous. I guarantee he is being brought in for the publicity and to fill some extra seats. I also guarantee you that he will be HORRIBLE this year, although Adrian Peterson will be able to keep the offense at a mediocre level. Bonehead move by the Vikings.

of this. I'm curious now though. Do you think ESPN would have anything on this?

Not attempting to break the news, just giving my thoughts...

to take a shot at ESPN. Ironically enough, I changed to ESPN right after your post and guess who was on it.

As to your question about Favre on ESPN -- ESPN is a Favre whore.
How many consecutive years has the media been asking Favre when he plans to retire? Seems like 10 years now -- and still going. The past four have been Favre himself flip-flopping. And they were and are leading the charge.
Who is in favre of Favre coming back?
Breaking News: Favre to retire in 2025. There. That aught to keep the news whores at bay for at least a little while.

He may not be what he was, but would you rather start Tavaris or Sage?
as Kevin from Home Alone would say, "I don't think so."
August 18th, 2009 at 2:48 PM ^
I actually would start one of those guys over Favre.
August 18th, 2009 at 3:40 PM ^
that you did not watch very many Vikings games last year. There is no way that I would want Tavaris starting over Favre.
Sage, I do not have much of an opinion on, since I yet to watch an NFL game of him. But even if their abilities are the same (and that's a big if), I would take the boost in confidence that Favre will give the rest of the team.

for which you can share your thoughts on this topic. I realize the post's subject is not clear, though, so I hope this helps:

I'm torn. I can't decide whether the first post, the one titled ESPN, is murky due to the fact that it doesn't really say Favre, or whether it's crystal clear since ESPN : Favre :: Security camera at 7-11 : the door.

If this is true, I now want Minnesota to lose every game this season.
August 18th, 2009 at 2:56 PM ^
INTs and fumbles. And sacks.
August 18th, 2009 at 2:58 PM ^
Wait this is misleading is it official? you should have a more descriptive title

I had suspected he was just trying to find a way not to participate in the preseason camps. I really liked him before, but this is getting boring quick now.

... ESPN says Favre is good for football. Can ESPN be wrong?
August 18th, 2009 at 4:15 PM ^
ESPN's Chris Mortensen has confirmed that ESPN is never wrong.

3,000 yards and 22 TD's are excellent. 22 INT's is awful, but not like some unprecedentedly horrible amount.

The whole Farve thing has just become an annoyance. I am so tired of hearing about it.
August 18th, 2009 at 4:34 PM ^
Does this mean that John Madden is going to Un-Retire too. If so I give up on life.
August 18th, 2009 at 4:47 PM ^
Figures.

The NFC North will get so much attention now due to everybody's QB situation. Jay Cutler, Stafford & Culpepper, two Favre vs. his replacement & former team games. Hope the return to Lambeau is on national TV.

It's kind of sad because before he retired the first time, most people had a lot of respect for Favre, but after these two comebacks, everyone hates him and realizes that he's really just trying to get attention.
