The ban may have done them a favor. If there ever was an Olympics that should be cancelled it is this one. Between the mosquitos, the polution and the corruption, this may be the worst Olympic venue of all time.

Look at a list of men's and women's running world records. Notice how the men's records are almost all pretty recent. Yet many of the women's records for the shorter distances are from the 80s and early 90s, and include an American, Flojo as well as Russians and Eastern Europeans. Synthetic testosterone has a stronger effect on a female athlete. Systematic doping used to be the norm, Russia just refuses to accept that the system is much more difficult to game now. In fact if it hadn't been for a turncoat, they'd be going to Rio and winning medals.

ALL Russian athletes not just track and field..This was State sponsored CHEATING and COVER UP...The Russian govt was in on it...Why would ANYONE think the other athletes arent/werent cheating as well...

Not just Track..but ALL sports. Unless something changes there will be no Russian flags in the procession of athletes. Russians that have been tested by a testing body outside of Russia can compete but as independents and not for Russia.

Since they were doping and got caught until Putin gets the athletes from Russia to be clean. Oh that's right Putin is in on the doping and supports it.
