OT - Cissoko Assaults Jail Employees

Submitted by gater on

Cissoko is accused of assaulting a sergeant and two officers at the county jail on Hogback Road in Pittsfield Township at 8:26 a.m. on July 31, records show....

Court records don't indicate he has been arraigned on the latest charges.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison on each felony count.

I can't believe how far he's fallen.  I still hope the best for him.  Hopefully he can get out, get back into a school and play some ball.  He had some skill but never really got to use it.

I feel bad for the guy and I hope he can sort his life out somehow, but what can you expect when you are located on Hogback Road in Pittsfield Township? I can't imagine any positive story coming out of that place. Never been there but it just sounds unpleasant.

is a very troubled young man.  I only hope he finds some peace at some point in his life.  There was a poster that alluded that schizophrenia may be at the root of his present circumstance.  I'm not sure if that is the real issue, but there is clearly some mental health disorder here.  Personality disorders or charatertological disorders usually show up before 20 years old.  He's clearly decompensated but robbery, theft, and violence are not symptoms of Schizophrenia in and of themselves.

Clarett robbed some people outside a bar and BooBoo robbed pizza delivery guys.  I don't think we need to put this on a relative scale.  At this point they have both F'd up really bad, but only one seems to be taking strides in a positive direction.

the way things went down with booboo just made you think he is bipolar or something...  I could be wrong.

Glenn Winston, he sought out someone specific, he had a clear definite motive both times at msu.  Had a reputation he came from a really rough area and the michigan staff were weary about taking him though they loved his talent.....

Cissoko, nobody had a thing to say about warning signs with cissoko, and with him playing for wilcher if they were there they would have been all over the message boards.

I seem to recall reading something about his home life in Detroit being very sequestered. He went to school, went to football, and beyond that never left home. If I recall it was his guradian's idea of how to protect him, but it seems that it left him with no mechanisms for coping or socializing.

Wow. What a long fall it's been for Cissoko from the top. I would like to think he has bottomed out but I wouldn't bet on it. Just guessing here but he is probably feeling sorry for himself and is pissed off at the world for his current state. Hopefully he can assume responsibility for his stupidity and find some inner peace. Only then does he have a shot at turning things around.

It's unbelievable how Cissoko has fallen. I'm not sure what's wrong with him. But maybe this is his way of dealing with not making it at Michigan. Maybe his expectations were so high, and when he didn't live up to those expectations he felt like such a failure that this is how he dealt with it.  I hope he finds God and gets help with his problems.

extricate.  Define and find freedom.  Use freedom as a way to promote peace.   Always liked this recruit/player.  One of my favorite names of all time... Never underestimate the power of context and situations in life (others or your own).  And, the presumed guilt is thick.  I respect the law but a fair shake is not what midwestern justice is about anymore.  I hope his family is sticking by him and a few friends/teammates do too.

I'm not condoning his actions in any way but you know what they say " When you get in jail you either have to kick someones ass or be somebodys bitch"

This is just sad.  I thought Cissoko had already hit rock bottom, and now this.  I don't know if I have ever heard of someone falling this far in recent memory.  This is tragic.  I just don't understand his entire thought process for everything that has happened.
