OT: Best Custom Troll Gear You’ve Seen?

Submitted by Blau on March 20th, 2024 at 12:14 AM

While watching my Colorado State Rams (BS ‘10) put the beat down on an inept Virginia team in First Four of the NCAA Tournament and probably the only sicko to make it through the whole game, I was fortunate enough to witness one of the greatest (and frankly spot on) custom fan-made t-shirts I’ve seen in quite some time:

I’m assuming dude in the picture is a CSU fan and I must say I’m quite proud of the well executed troll job by a fellow Ram making it to live TV, especially considering he had only about 48 hours since the seeds were announced to make the damn thing!?

So it begs the question: What are the best custom shirts/gear you’ve seen fans trolling other teams that made it to a broadcast? Feel free to post below and Go Rammies!

I’d also like to point out that UVA had 14! total points until around the 16:43 minute mark in the 2nd half. This can only mean Brian Ferentz must be drawing up plays on Tony Bennett’s bench somewhere…

Even more unbelievably --- Virginia had 14 points in the first 23:17 of the game while only turning the ball over twice during that stretch.

Princeton was (by far) the NCAA team that turned the ball over the least this season - 8.17 turnovers/game.  Which means they turned the ball over 4.76 times per 23:17 of game play (Princeton played no OT games this season).

Virginia was under HALF of that pace, and had only had 4 turnovers on the game (compared to 13 for CSU).

Seriously - that much offensive ineptitude without wasting tons of possessions by turning it over all the time - it's crazy.  But that's Virginia for ya.

The problem with trolling like that is you’d look pretty foolish if your team lost.

It’s a pretty ballsy move. Cam the Ram would be proud.

driving down the lane seemed effective, and it really looked like they could hoist the ball up from anywhere

(we have a very large ram who 'has no chill' about his prime directive, but fortunately he is pretty mellow.  he's also got a lot of wool and we need to shear him)

Congratulations to the Rams. Virginia looked like Michigan could have beaten them this year and they were a 10 seed. Gotta be some pissed-off ‘first out’ teams after watching that steaming pile of Cavaliers.

Didn't they win on near buzzer beaters more than a handful of the tournament games that year? I know Purdue was leading, or they were at least tied, right up until the final seconds in the Elight Eight and then UVa has the go-ahead score with something like <10 seconds remaining. Same with whoever they played in the semifinals too. Can't remember if it happened in the finals or in the Sweet 16 as well, but it was like they took several year's worth of good luck and crammed it all into one tournament run.

Some may recall meme shirts going around back in the early-mid aughts that “Jim Tressel drinks wine coolers”

One time I saw a dude dressed up in a pretty spot on Tressel costume, visibly drunk on wine coolers, whilst promenading up to the stadium on game day. Not sure if he made the broadcast (or made it to halftime) but I was impressed
