OT - #BeatState Posbang Thread

Submitted by mgobaran on

Happy Friday. I found this website somehow. And figured I would start a posbang thread while I did so.

No offense to MGoBlog, but this is the best website ever.
Protip: Hit the Refresh thing in the middle of the screen many times.

WTF Pavel

Also, congrats to Mark Schlissel on being named the new President! Way to go dude.

And of course, let's go take Sparty to the woodshed in their own house! Go Blue, Beat State.

Bang AWAY!

[Edit] Title change from "Tread" to "Thread" becuase I am an idiot.

I sat up on the roof with the ~50 students who took the bus there provided by the athletic department (yes, they actually provided tickets and a bus, something good for students!).  Part of what made that night so amazing was the shock of it all; we were not very good heading into that game, but that changed quickly.  If by chance you go to EL tomorrow, YELL AS LOUD AS YOU CAN.  They hear you.  They despise you.  And then you yell louder.

The satisfaction of beating a rival at their place is unbelievable.  I'm sure there are people on here who have experienced that at Ohio Stadium, but there aren't too many who have experienced that at Breslin.  This year, things feel different; we are coming off a Final Four, and aren't going to surprise anyone with our players.  But, this game is arguably even more meaningful than 2011 given that the State of Michigan is two games clear of everyone else in the B1G right now.

With that, I say happy Friday, and let's hope tomorrow is 2011, not 2013.

more than I expected to. Izzo said whether to play Payne is "the toughest coaching decision of his life". Way to put the game in its proper perspective.

Payne will play. This is intensely personal for Izzo and Payne, and there's no way Izzo will sit Payne just to help him "heal" when a victory against Michigan is on the line.

I think the fact that Beilein doesn't put much energy into the "rivalry" aspect of the game, and instead focuses that energy on game-by-game team development, probably digs at Izzo (especially since Beilein has won 4 of the last 6).
