OT - Are you having a good Monday

Submitted by Blazefire on

I was having a normal crappy monday, but then two things happened. Somebody told me I screwed something up and I was able to find verifiable proof that I did NOT screw up, so that was fun.

And then just now, an item came in next day air, but it was for our stock, not for a job, which is odd. So I went  to ask, and somebody told me to put it on the job shelf. I got to respond as such.

"Stock items don't go on the job shelf. They go on the stock shelf over there. You don't know what you're talking about. You're out of your element, Donny!"

I'm on week 1 of a 6 weeks of staying off my right leg. I just had surgery for a bone fragment that came loose on my knee and they had to screw it back together. Knee OCD sucks a big one. No work or play.

Halfway through IJ at the moment. One of the best books I've ever read. Prepare to have the remainder of your summer sucked away!

Edit: Meant to reply to Flood's comment. Definitely not a good Monday morning.

I've seen the
Rains of the real world
Come forward on the plain
I've seen the Kansas of your sweet little myth
You've never seen it, no,
I'm half sick on the drinks you mixed
Through your

True dreams
Of Wichita

great song and pretty much the only thing I know about Wichita.  Will the WichitaWolverine screen name and avatar live on?

Not yet. Maybe we could get some good news about the football program today or that OSU is being investigated by the NCAA for cheating or something. That would probably help.

I had a good weekend, and I did not want to wake up this morning, but the morning is moving pretty quick it's almost lunch, and it's not 958349089234 degrees in my un-airconditioned office, so it's pretty good for a Monday so far

I'm sore from playing cornhole all day yesterday. Yes, it's possible to be sore from tossing bags into a hole.

*** Expecting numerous "that's what she said's" among others with this post.

I mean really, is it too much to ask to get a better designed human physiognomy, one that's accounted for post-nasal drip and keeps the throat from getting sore????

1.  Cubs game last night with absolute perfect weather.  They lost but I’m a Tigers fan so it really don’t care if they win or lose.  Wrigley is awesome..  Yes, this happened on Sunday.  But, a good Sunday is pivotal to a good Monday

2.  Woke up early and got a piece from the girlfriend.

3.  Went to a Board meeting at Wrigley field this morning and a few of us were able to tour the park..  It’s very cool to walk a MLB park when its completely empty.

I'm off work for the next two weeks, so my day is great. I don't have to teach anyone to fly and I have my sister looking over the resurant that alone can make me rejoice. My birthday is this week, my best friend is getting married on my birthday which is saturday. His bachelor party is tomorrow. For it we will be in vegas until thursday. I havent been this excited in a long time

Sorry for people who had a bad day, if I worked a normal 9-5 job I might understand what it is like to have a bad monday. However, you guys get to come home everynight after your off work and sleep in your own bed. When im done working I go to a hotel and get to be alone and sleep in a bed that isn't mine.

Went to the Tiger's game last night (free tickets in the lower level) with my daughter.

I made homemade cornedbeef hash this morning for the kids and me.

Got to work and received my "wash out" sheet for my commissions for the past quarter.  I'm in the manufacturing segment and had my best quarter since 2008.

I'm going to be an extra on a movie set tonight in downtown Detroit.

And it's almost August which means it's one day closer to football and hunting season.

We just started a trial on participants 70 and over.  I spoke to a potential participant who did not want to stop taking aspirin (required for the study) but added, "If you ever do a study on 72 year old men and 20 year old co-eds, give me a call! I'll drop aspirin for that, hell, I'll stop eating!"   That made me LOL.

I just found out that I'm more or less being kicked out of my apartment.  It's a weird situation, but I moved in with a buddy's girlfriend who had a 2 bedroom but needed a roommate, and I needed a place to live as my lease was up and my roommate at the time was moving in with his fiance.  It wasn't the most perfect situation, but it worked for both of us, and possibly could have gone another year.  (I know what you're thinking -- why didn't my buddy and his gf move in together?  Simple answer is they wanted to have their own separate spaces and were not ready for that commitment.)

Well, not four weeks later, I find out that the brother of my buddy's gf (my current roommate) is going to move into the place at the end of August, effectively kicking me out.  I now have four weeks to find a place and get moved in...a month after getting settled in.  I'm not going to pitch a fit about this and be a dick, because that won't solve a goddamn thing, but come on.

So...fuck.
