OSU Has their own version of the “ Revenge Tour”

Submitted by The Mayor on October 21st, 2023 at 5:49 PM

Watching the OSU fan base turn Day’s version of “I’m a man, I’m forty” become their mantra as if they have been fighting the world for so long is hilarious. Reading their replies they think they never get the benefit of the doubt in polls and that they have the best defense since the bears circa 85. Should I tell them that below average offense will make an average defense look great? Ah, we’ll just let them find out on November 25th. ( My birthday btw).

Their defense reminds of Michigan’s with Don Brown. It’s like they have reversed roles. Drew Allar is extremely mediocre and couldn’t challenge them vertically which lead OSU to being extremely aggressive. They left zero safeties and blitzed on a 3rd and 2 and shut down Penn State one time. Gus was talking about the great stand they made and all I could think about was Michigan sending Loveland vertical on a play action and going for 20+ yards. Penn State didn’t trust Drew to do that. It made OSU be able to play way more aggressive. The exact same stuff that burned them against Michigan last year when Johnson burned them as they tried proving they were tough.

Harrison is going to get some yards and so will their backs, but I see Michigan pulling away in the 4th again. Stover will probably make some plays in the game as well, but not enough. As far as Penn State, I imagine the game will be similar to last year for Michigan. Probably a little closer like 35-17 in favor of Michigan.

It's so funny how OSU fans on social media rn are basically gaslighting themselves into thinking this was a great win on their part. We knew PSU's flaws going into this game, Allar can't throw the ball down the field, they can't run the ball, and their OL is shaky. All of those things were evident today and OSU fans are acting like their defense is generational. This game was way too close even with how poorly PSU's offense was playing. Besides MHJ breaking off a few big catches, OSU's offense was held in check

The Ohio fans are fucking insufferable.  They want a penalty called on their opponent every play - 15 yards.  They boo and piss and bitch and moan literally every play - unless the play is successful.  I've watched games with these people.  Used to think the Celtics fans were the worst in the Bad Boys days but no.  The Ohio fans are the biggest douche fuckers that roam this planet.

Every play when Michigan was on defense, this douchebag OSU fan behind me would scream for a PI call. He'd yell "fuck that, Michigan is a bunch ah hillbillies!" I'll never forget him yelling right after Mikey's pass break up to Stover. They all booed that play like they wanted a call, when objectively that was just perfect defense.

They can say whatever - they have looked flawed against whatever significant competition they have faced this year.  They were *fortunate* that PSU had a number of open receivers drop catchable balls today.  No idea if *we* are actually better than either of those teams as yet, but... they aren't beating UGA or Washington.

The only thing todays game proved is Michigan can stomp both these teams ! Franklin puts the lions at an immediate disadvantage and other than Harrison Jr. the nuts are still spineless when punched in the mouth ! Only way Michigan loses these games are if they beat themselves with multiple turnovers or try to get cute with their play calling !!!

I watched them today. I was surprised by Day's bad play calls and Franklin's was even worse. Day out coached Franklin,  but that's not hard to do. I don't think we will have any trouble at all with psu. Ohio had several weapons out today, but they looked very pedestrian offensively.  There defense is much improved,  but I'm not too sure about Penn state's offense.

Someone just posted “ Jim Freakin Knowles”… I’m like we used to say that about Don Brown… We have literally swapped places. My how the turn tables…

We lost one game in the regular season last year. This isn’t a “revenge tour” like you guys had. No band plays a one stop tour. Everyone and their grandma that’s never watched football knows that Drew Allar is pure ass at this point from watching him today. A lot of fans rallied around Day’s “Ohio against the world” speech. Big whoop. Everyone knows the only game that matters from here on out is the one after thanksgiving. I wish both fanbases would quit this and just wait until The Game gets here. Sign stealing allegations are stupid. OSU fans acting this way is stupid. Nov. 25 can’t come quick enough for me so we can roll the balls out and play.

Don't agree. In season, in person scouting of future opponents was banned because it gave larger programs a distinct advantage over smaller schools that lacked resources. Now schools equally share film instead. Violating this rule gives the violator a clear and substantially unfair advantage over opponents who follow the rules.

"Ohio State wins, and now both teams are bad?"

Uh, yes.  That game was an abomination.  Penn State's offense was unwatchable mainly because of itself, and sure with an assist from Ohio State.  But good God, Drew Allar.
