I'd imagine every Final Four bball participant puts up a banner/recognizes that accomplishment somewhere (even if they blow the opportunity).  Despite MSU getting gutted by Alabama, getting to the playoffs is a great accomplishment for any program.  It's not just about how a team does in the playoff, but also recognizes their successful regular season.

I really see no problem with this at all.

As an achievement .

"There's going to be a lot of good teams, a lot of storied programs, that don't make the CFP in the next 10-15 years. Making the CFP is an accomplishment that should be celebrated, regardless of outcome."

I'm for it as long as they put the score on it...

So, sparty's talking about hanging a CFP banner, and we're talking about them talking about hanging a college football playoff banner? Threads like these make US look like little brother

First of all, I'm sick to death with all the MSU garbage on this blog.

Second of all, they're even bigger idiots than I originally thought if they think they should have a banner for losing 38-0 to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.

Indeed, while they were one of the playoff 4, this is not exactly like in being in the NCAA College BB Final Four.  First off, teams in the BB Final Four do not get "jail-sex'ed" and score 0 points in a game, and in BB to make the final 4 you need to beat 4 other teams in the tournament as opposed to having a committee wild ass guessing who the best 4 teams are.
