Submitted by Michigan248 on

Ex Colorado OL (transferring to Nebraska) Alexander Lewis was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree assault and 2 counts of harassment. Is anyone fimiliar with Nebraska, would they still take a guy like this?

Seeing that we don't know the entire story, there is really no need at all to comment on this.

He is the son of a former All-American center at Nebraska. I think this will be similar to the James Kittredge situation at Michigan State (Kittredge's father was a former teammate of Dantonio at South Carolina). Lewis will most likely be punished during the next year when he is required to sit out anyway due to NCAA transfer rules. He will then be eligible in 2014 when this story will be old news and won't miss a down of actual playing time.

How bad is it at Colorado when a guy competing for the starting QB job decides to transfer to Akron???

Colorado and Washington are really the two schools that amaze me in how quickly they fell from relevance.  From 90's powerhouses to complete garbage programs.

They care about winning first in Nebraska. They have a ton of shady kids similar to K State. I don't miss living there. My neighbor was a cop in Lincoln, and the players are all they have. They are the only thing going athletically in the entire state. Hoke's holier than thou policy does hurt us with wins. He suspends kids for weed in a huge bowl game, and we lose on the last play from being weaker at DB. Could you imagine if a kid broke the law like this?

and the team has pretty much been incident free under him. So how this is handled could get interesting. Bo has cut a few players loose over this sort of thing.

The arrest happened the day after the transfer was announced....talk about great timing.
