Who cares. I hope we beat their ass. I do think if Gary and Higdon are healthy we win. Their love affair with lebron makes me want to beat them even more. Dude is a pos.

One of the bright dividing lines between MGoBlog and places like MLive is the extent of the belief in the Unified Testicular Fandom Theory. There've always been a few who worship at the Altar of the Mighty Testicle at MGoBlog, but it's a small minority. That's largely due to the fact that the most vocal adherents of that religion are morons who can't keep from eventually getting banned.

You absolutely think we are going to win every game?

Not just rooting for us to win, but absolutely, totally believe we are going to win every game?

I hope for your own sake it's not true.

If it is true, Vegas builds places like this because of you.

My least favorite fans are the ones who talk shit about the people who have confidence enough to think we will win. I do not care if that fan blows up; I hate the arrogant pessimists who have very little confidence in our team, then are happy to say they said so if we do lose big. The fans who think we will get whipped are the worst kind of fan. You show no faith in Harbaugh, no faith in the players, and you are as weak as testicles that have already been kicked.

We are playing at home and are a much better team than Iowa. If more Michigan fans were not whiny at tough times we may actually have a loud stadium and a homefield advantage. The quiet and lack of resolve of the fan base has always been one of the weak spots of UM.

People hate the truth. I’m pretty sure Harbaugh would rather have fans who believe he can win ray hare than equate each loss with a doomsday. Furthermore, nobody likes people who easily switch to extreme perspectives. But the worst fans are the mental wimps who don’t even want to imagine e their team’s young men can win. The negs are from hitting the nerves of people who cannot handle criticism, oh well. Did you guys ever play the game? Why do you watch Michigan if you think we will lose? Ah, the defense mechanism of feeling better about oneself by lowering expectations.

that complain before games and after losses, but probably blend in after wins.

Like Harbaugh, I hope we get better every day.  Sure, i'm optimistic.  And enthusiastic.  And I'm not so mentally fragile that I need to protect myself against disappointment.

The tone of fan comments at Michigan blogs has gotten better over the past couple of weeks, but it was near unbearable for a whiile.

You know, these are the sorts of things that got you in trouble in the first place. The criticisms and the worries are valid - a vertical passing game and someone a smidgen faster than McCray would be huge against Ohio State - and yet the reply from you is this blind optimism coupled with accusations that perhaps the other person is either a lesser fan or a fan of another team.

Please quit that.

Its a joke. The amount of things said to me is way worse but i dont get mad... its a blog. And yes i agree those are legitimate concerns but i choose to think Harbs gets it figured out, so i dont fret. Not blind optimism at all and come on now about the accusations of being a fan of another team, this is said all the time.

We didn’t have much of a vertical passing attack against them last year and we still managed to drive the ball down the field. If our offense doesn’t turn the ball over it’ll be closer than you think. They’ve shown ineptitude at times this season as well. I’m not going to insinuate anything cause I’ve learned not to get my hopes up regarding this game but I think this team has the ability to pull off something special for once.

Our passing game is anemic in comparison to last year. We cannot utilize any of our WR's. Our OL still struggles with Pass Blocking. How do you think Peters will have time to go through his progressions with Hubbard and Bosa penetrating our pass blocking? Maybe our defense can hold OSU in check, but I think the combination of Dobbs and Weber could be quite dangerous. We need to trust our LB's to tackle in space, and I am not too confident about that.

We can use McCray, but you need to get to Barrett QUICKLY.  I don't see a lot of LB blitzing in The Game just because Barrett will kill us with his legs if we miss him.  Brown had the OSU offense figured out last year.  We need to get pressure with our front 3-4.  Taco had a hell of a game last year.  Don't forget that the M D gave up virtually NOTHING last year before OT.  The OSU points were all Speight gifts.

However, Darboh and Chesson had the ability to get separation; none of our current WRs with the occasional exception of Perry have shown that.

Peters has a good arm, but he hasn't been asked to throw very much so he's still somewhat of an unknown quantity in terms of proving he can make those quick throws on a consistent basis. I don't think he's got a particularly quick release, and our pass blocking has been so bad this season that plenty of times our QBs have had guys in their faces before they've had a chance to even set up.

The key is going to be whether we can move the ball on the ground on 1st and 2nd down just enough so that Peters isn't forced into constant 3rd and long situations where we pretty much have to throw.

The disparity between Iowa's passing game against OSU vs against Wisconsin is eye-opening.

Against OSU, Stanley was 20/31 for 226 yds and 5 TDs, and got sacked just once, with 3 hurries.

Against Wisconsin, Stanley was 8/24 for 41 yds, 0 TDs, and got sacked 4 times with 4 hurries.

I'm curious if this was due primarily to matchups, or was largely an artifact of Iowa being at home against OSU and being on the road against Wisconsin.

Just shows how much better our uniforms are.  If your uniforms are weak change them all the time.  Personally It's disrespect for the rivalry.  Their uniforms last year were horrendous.
