Northwestern Tickets

Submitted by petrocity on

I would like to try and go to the game against NU since I live in Milwaukee but I've never been there, does anyone have tips on when and who to buy tickets from?

Thanks in advance.

They’re cheaper than tickets at Michigan, that’s for sure.  I bought them last month from their school website, and they were under $70 for 30 yard line.  Maybe start there.

If suggest you make your acccomodations now and buy tickets on stub hub the night before.

Seconded I’ve done last minute secondary market for this game a bunch of times and have always paid well below face.

Also get there in time to tailgate it’s tiny but charming. There will be tents and flags for like 20 top academic schools with maybe 1/3 being NW branded.

My daughter attends NU and my wife just got an email that single game tickets for the Michigan game are now sold out.  Looks like Stub Hub or on the street.

Hate to disagree, but Ryan Field is NOT a great place to watch a game.  Very little "football" atmosphere and the place is run-down and has almost zero amenities (bathrooms suck and the concessions are better at a county fair.  I will grant you that the Michigan crowd is awesome and does fill a large part of the place.  I have been to many UofM games there ... and will be there again this fall !

I'd buy by the end of August.  Northwestern and Fitzgerald are legit and if they get off to a good start, tickets on the secondary market will do nothing but go up in price.

Don't forget the size of our alumni base and fanbase in the Chicago area, either----demand will rise and supply will fall once the season draws near.  I'd be competing for those same tickets myself if not for my niece's wedding in GR that afternoon.

I and a group of 25 friends landed 26 tickets in a block through their ticket office over the phone.  This was the morning they were put on sale though, and I heard that they sold out pretty quickly.

I am pumped to see Michigan play somewhere other than the Big House.  Only other away game I've seen live was Utah 2015.

To your question - I'd wait until NW trips up in the nonconference and then pluck some aftermarket seats.

I bought group seats through Northwestern for this game. I have extra seats available if you’re interested. I’m not sure of the location - they are somewhere on the sideline - not the endzone. Everyone in the group is a Michigan fan!

We called them…

Both Michigan and Northwestern have sold out on their websites. SeatGeek has been holding steady at about $60 for the endzone for a month or 2.  Endzone seats aren't my fav, does anybody have any insight into sitting in this particular endzone?

They start the season with Purdue, Duke and Akron. Could be 1-2 after that, but could easily be 3-0. Maybe waiting to buy just before won't help.

I live in the Milwaukee area also

I got my tickets thru the NW Website

otherwise Stubhub is solid and you might find them cheaper their

I plan on avoiding the tolls and taking 94 until I get just past the border, than taking 41 til I get back on 94 .

As for the pre or post game stuff - Dixie Kitchen is always solid

As for the game and stadium- Horrible sound system, Horrible concessions areas, they always run out of coca cola by halftime.  I'd bring cash cuz I don't know if they have modernized the concessions area.

I was planning to buy stubhub but I also had questions about NU.

Some of the tickets on Stubhub at midfield are listed as "obstructed view."  how would that be?

best parking lot to tailgate in?  Is it first come first served on the lots?  How early should I get there to set up?

Got my tickets for family from Michigan, staying out near the airport and making a weekend of it. Just waiting for the time of the game to be announced.

My wife and I have reservations, but I have a board certification exam the next weekend.

I'll probably still be there.
