Hope not.

I hope he eeks out just enough that he isn't fired by the time we see him...but that he has clearly lost the team.

I hope he's fired AFTER our game. I want his last B1G experience to be the biggest middle finger that Harbaugh can give. I want us throwing bombs up by 60 late in the 4th quarter.

Assuming that Frost need immediate improvement on offense, hiring Mark Whipple was a strange move. Whipple’s reputation at Pitt was having a complex offense that takes several seasons + experienced players to really get rolling.

Frost's buyout goes down by $7.5 million at 12:01am on October 1st.

Here's Nebraska's October schedule:

  • 10/1 Indiana
  • 10/7 at Rutgers (Friday night BTN game)
  • 10/15 at Purdue
  • 10/22 -- bye
  • 10/29 Illinois

I think a blow-out loss in West Lafayette coupled with an upcoming bye week seems a time for AD Trev Alberts to pull the plug.

At a certain point I wonder if Frost has just thrown in the towel. Nebraska isn’t oozing with talent, but they have enough certainly to win their division. They had more than enough talent to beat Northwestern last week, and certainly enough talent to blow the doors off a North Dakota team.

Is Scott Frost, at this point, just begging someone to be put out of his misery as quickly as possible? I have to believe that the fact that he’s Nebraska’s golden son and is probably the worst HC in school history and is dragging everything down with him makes him want to crawl into a hole and disappear for the rest of his life.

The deer in the headlights look he has about him suggests he's just fucking clueless.   He wants to win and he doesn't know how.   It's sad.  It's pathetic.   ... and I love it.   When the Husker faithful spray paint over that 1997 national champtionship in their stadium then maybe, just maybe, we can let the misery end.  Until then... let them wallow in it.
