Okay.... OSU looks exactly like they did under Barrett, which might be a good thing honestly.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:11 PM ^
How many times did we beat osu under Barrett?
August 31st, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
His stats against us aren’t that fancy.
His backups are the ones that killed us along with our inept AF offense that couldn’t be worse in crunch situations if they tried.
Still doesn’t take away the pain of OSUs worst defense in history absolutely murdering us last year.
Looks like they are going to be much better this year.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:23 PM ^
Yeah, everybody is focusing on their offense. It's going to be dynamic and anyone thinking otherwise is just fooling themselves. Their defense is the key - it was simply HORRIBLE last year. Focus on the LBs. They were maybe the worst LBs in OSU history last year. They could be in trouble if that group doesn't improve.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:27 PM ^
Hopefully Gattis is smarter and recognizes that weakness unlike Harbaugh + Pep.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:17 PM ^
Barrett was short
August 31st, 2019 at 1:11 PM ^
Go Blue. That is all. Glad to have CFB back.
August 31st, 2019 at 6:14 PM ^
You may be right. I thought the exact same thing on his first TD pass. Really loaded up and threw the ball open, just like Barrett did. I kind of like the progression of talent in the schedule game by game. Field’s will have to speed up a click against Cincinnati. If he can do that and still throw accurately he may be better than Barrett. I did like his pocket presence better than Barrett, but one game means absolutely nothing either way good or bad. Looked like a very vanilla game plan. I thought the defense looked very stout in the first half. They started subbing the backups before the half. Harrison was playing late in the 2nd half but in the middle.

Florida Atlantic appears to be in troublt
August 31st, 2019 at 12:53 PM ^
Yest.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:08 PM ^
All we're going to learn about OSU is what they'd look like as a touch football team. Answer seems to be: pretty good.
August 31st, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
Agree, but I think you can say the same for 90% of the opening week games. Their defense looked a lot better than last year but then again it's FIU. Time will tell.

Best game on tv should be Toledo at Kentucky if you get the SEC network. Toledo with a quick TD to start the game.

August 31st, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
Knowing our luck dude is gonna suck all year until Michigan. Then he’ll play like a 1st round pick and blow up our “top tier” defense.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:55 PM ^
He's going to be another Heisman contender. Even his incompletions have been on target. He looks like All-B1G is his floor.
August 31st, 2019 at 1:24 PM ^
The constant stream of references to Michigan's "bad luck" on this board is obnoxious. Do you know how weak and pitiful you sound?
August 31st, 2019 at 11:28 PM ^
Our luck he is great all season and takes it up a notch vs us. A bad OSU QB even for 11 games would be wonderful for us.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:37 PM ^
We always knew he would be a good runner. He has three passing touchdowns, but two were to guys open by five yards and one by three yards. He is probably going to be good, but it remains to be seen how accurate he will be throwing to people who are even remotely being covered.
August 31st, 2019 at 1:16 PM ^
He'll be good this year but FAU won't give us any useful information on Fields.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:10 PM ^
Toledo up 7-0 over kentucky. Go Rockets!

OSU will win but one can only hope they get punched in the face, groin, liver and kidney a few times! :)
August 31st, 2019 at 12:13 PM ^
Busted coverage. Easy pitch and catch
August 31st, 2019 at 12:13 PM ^
Well no reason to keep watching osu-fau
August 31st, 2019 at 12:13 PM ^
FAU is........not good at all.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
it only took 3 minutes for ohio state to put up more offensive touchdowns than sharty
August 31st, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
And just wait until MSU plays a team with an even an average offense, hehehe

2 catches from the sophomore TE in the first 2 drives, including a TD.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
Kiffin is just letting them get overconfident
i am joking
August 31st, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
Oh yes Jeremy Fuckert...the guy who spurned Michigan TE factory and called THE game not a rivalry.
I hate OSU.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
Outside of Jake Butt what has Michigan produced under Harbaugh?
And it hasn’t been a rivalry for almost 20 years.
I was there for 2011. Cherish that day like mad.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
And Gentry or are you just gonna blatantly troll.
M usesTE in a traditional sense. You know what NFL does. What has OSU produced at ??
August 31st, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
Lol Gentry. All measurables and hype.
Won’t be using them in a traditional sense this year. It’ll be more like how OSU uses them.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:46 PM ^
Ahhh yes, the MgoGroupThink is alive and well this morning.
'Cube posts the truth so you call him/her a troll.
Nicely done!
August 31st, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
Obviously osu is really good, but good lord is FAU terrible.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
Is Iowa State-Northern Iowa the best noon game?
August 31st, 2019 at 12:23 PM ^
False. Florida st vs Boise st
August 31st, 2019 at 3:37 PM ^
Well it's in OT2 right now so yep!
August 31st, 2019 at 12:17 PM ^
same as MSU last night. You don’t schedule anybody. I’m not impressed with them beating up on a horrible team.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:18 PM ^
I hate seeing osu doing so well. Michigan better look even better or I'm headed right to BPONE. Sorry guys.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
I hate that I feel the same way, but I do, except I won't mind a few hiccups with execution. But I'll have a serious sad if we dick around with vanilla shit and don't open it up from the git-go. Also, MTSU is a much better team than FAU, but still.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:33 PM ^
MTSU is definitely the better team of the two (vs. FAU). It will just floor me if we look anything less than confident with our new scheme out there. This Gattis scheme can't just be some gimmick that we use. This IS our new system. This will be Michigan football from now on. Now I'm making myself worry.
August 31st, 2019 at 12:50 PM ^
But are they? I don’t see evidence that they are much better.
