His stats against us aren’t that fancy.

His backups are the ones that killed us along with our inept AF offense that couldn’t be worse in crunch situations if they tried.

Still doesn’t take away the pain of OSUs worst defense in history absolutely murdering us last year.

Looks like they are going to be much better this year.

Yeah, everybody is focusing on their offense. It's going to be dynamic and anyone thinking otherwise is just fooling themselves. Their defense is the key - it was simply HORRIBLE last year. Focus on the LBs.  They were maybe the worst LBs in OSU history last year. They could be in trouble if that group doesn't improve.

You may be right. I thought the exact same thing on his first TD pass. Really loaded up and threw the ball open, just like Barrett did. I kind of like the progression of talent in the schedule game by game. Field’s will have to speed up a click against Cincinnati. If he can do that and still throw accurately he may be better than Barrett. I did like his pocket presence better than Barrett, but one game means absolutely nothing either way good or bad. Looked like a very vanilla game plan. I thought the defense looked very stout in the first half. They started subbing the backups before the half. Harrison was playing late in the 2nd half but in the middle.

We always knew he would be a good runner.  He has three passing touchdowns, but two were to guys open by five yards and one by three yards.  He is probably going to be good, but it remains to be seen how accurate he will be throwing to people who are even remotely being covered.

OSU will win but one can only hope they get punched in the face, groin, liver and kidney a few times! :)

same as MSU last night. You don’t schedule anybody. I’m not impressed with them beating up on a horrible team.

MTSU is definitely the better team of the two (vs. FAU). It will just floor me if we look anything less than confident with our new scheme out there.  This Gattis scheme can't just be some gimmick that we use.  This IS our new system.  This will be Michigan football from now on. Now I'm making myself worry.
