No media access to Don Brown this week per Angelique

If you ever wonder why some in the local media go after Harbaugh & the program, maybe it has something to do with the way they're treated.

I don't know about you but if you're making SEVEN FIGURES you should have to answer questions for several minutes about the colossal letdown that you have been for going on 3 years now.

OSU has never scored more points against Michigan than they did last year. Never. That means in all of the times the two teams have played, Michigan’s defense did better than Brown’s last year. That includes Rich Rod’s 3-9 year, in case that’s unclear to you.

If that’s a “shaky game” to you, then you’re the one who’s “dumb as fuck.” Also, I keep hearing about these top 5 defenses. They were S&P+ 9th last year. Good, but not so good that we should all ignore a “shakey game” like OSU.

UM was without JBB and Aubrey Solomon due to prior injuries and during the game Long went out, Bush went out and Patterson went out. That's 5 key players.

Talent rich compared to OSU?? When UM plays OSU they can't afford to have even one key player missing because they have even more talent than we do.

Give Pony a great DL, 2 NFL corners, and a 1st round pick at MLB, and he can put together a pretty good defense. Until TUOS drops 62 on you. Short of that, results don't appear that good.

Some experts on here told us you can't hope to stop TUOS unless you go 6 or 8 deep at corner with NFL talent. Not sure how Purdue recruited that much talent in the secondary.

Anyway, spreading things out/crossing routes used to be how you beat a Pony defense. Now Wisconsin can just line up and run it down our throats.

Solving problems with cowardice, indeed.

Did it occur to anyone on this staff that DT was going to be a problem?

You're a clown man.  Stats inflated by playing shitty competition.  Refusal to hook a player when he's 4 steps  behind a wr. How about the fact that Rashan Gary did zilch at Michigan.  He is the highest ever overall recruit in the history of recruiting.  What's he got to show for it at Michigan? Nothing that moves the needle..... how is that not on brown? Oh wait,  that is on mattison.....ooookkkkkaaaayyyy.

Jesus, here come the ignorants storming the castle. I know there's a lot of you, but your opinion is still irrelevant because there are actual facts against it.

It's a fact, not an opinion, that Brown has had top ten or #1 defenses at more than 1 school. You do know don't you that he coached a #1 defense at BOSTON COLLEGE? What a powerhouse! They beat up on "shitty competition" constantly as a mediocre school!

Brown should take the blame for bad games. But to assert that he's a bad coach and to say the rest of your low IQ crap is embarrassing to humanity. Get off the board

Exactly. People pull out these S&P+ rankings and other bullshit but ultimately if he doesn’t get the job when it matters the most then who cares?

Last year MSU and Mississippi State ended with a better defensive S&P+ ratings than Clemson (#3). Washington was rated higher than Alabama for God’s sake lol. But when I say Brown isn’t getting the job done people run to these stats. Which defense would you rather have Washington or Alabama? Mississippi State or Clemson? Lol forget the stats.

Fans absolutely need to get a grip. Agree 100% - these are the same kind of fans who said negative thing about Urban Meyer for losing once a year. He got them a Natty and beat their rival every time. How are you criticizing the second best coach (Urban) in football for what he has done on the field?! Same with Saban - when I hear the Alabama fans criticizing him for how he handles a player or for a close game - I just cringe. I know it's a fans right to have an opinion - but come the fuck on. People need reality checks.

yeah, shit and fuck.  How can they say that. Damn.  Look at what Urban has done and take everything with it.  Damn.  How can these Michigan fans say that? Geez.  Wow. And then take the 4th best coach in football.  I mean damn. What do you think Saban says about him? I just cringe. Fans are ok to have an opinion but damn.  You people need to start thinking and shit about shit. I mean damn.  come the fuck on people.  shit.  Alabama and shit.

You can add John Beilein to that list.

I'm certainly frustrated about the state of Michigan Football right now like everyone else is.  It’s still too early though (3 games in) to know if Josh Gattis is going to be who we want him to be, and therein lies part of the challenge.  We (including me) want results NOW!  It’s tough to be patient, especially after 15 years, but there is going to be an adjustment period one way or the other.  Either the current staff and players figure out the new system, or it will take time to adjust to a new staff and system.  Please adjust quicker!!

Seriously. Our fan base is the absolute worst. We don't deserve for the team to win anything. Fair weather ninnies, whose existence is somehow lessened by the team playing poorly.

And almost all of the "takes" are just asinine, uninformed crap that would fail instantly and miserably. Idiots. Fragile, entitled, idiots.

You seem upset because he wont stand there and talk about how he wont sleep for a year now. Who cares if he talks to the media, what is he going to say?  He sucks, not a great coach like we were led to believe. All his defensive success has been haphazard. Rocks the shitty teams and gets rocked by teams with a pulse.

How many four and five stars DL did they get the last four years? How many did they keep? The attrition is ludicrous, and it may have something to do with that we aren’t playing a 5 star guy in Hinton or a 4 in Mazi who were apparently in the two deep a week before the season. Jeter? Luigi? It is not like they haven’t had supposedly good players. Why are none of them working out? Uche and Paye have regressed.

Perhaps the coaches should see who is a game day gamer.

Go re-read my posting history and you'll see otherwise. I know you actually won't, you'll just find something else to go bitch about because that's your schtick. I'm getting negged on here in other threads for not throwing in the towel like everyone else is while I'm defending the players against people saying that they "quit". I still believe that we can get this thing back on track.

But this is bullshit. Man up and face the music. If you're making 7 figures, go talk to the media and answer why we had a former safety turned undersized LB in a 3 point stance on the defensive line on the goal line.

I have to agree with Bando. You turn on people incredibly quickly. Some bad games by the defense and no media availability and just like that it's fire Don Brown. That would be a catastrophicly dumb thing to do right now. Go outside and get some air, man. Log off.

Yeah, well 3, 5, and 9 are the S&P numbers for his defenses here.  Here are the numbers for the offense:  35, 49, 25 (with 34 being the year before Don Brown).  Harbaugh is supposedly hands-off with the defense so you tell me which coach is screwing things up.    Yeah, we still lose to OSU with a good offense last year, but we beat them the previous two years if JH's glorious offense isn't mediocre to outright dog shit.

I didn't say the offense lost them the game.  But it's also bullshit to pretend the offense was great, when they score in garbage and also puke up turnovers that fuck over the defense.  But sure, pretend that at best being in the top 25 for college offense is somehow a success while the guy who is always in the Top 10 is an idiot.
