Nick Ward returning to MSU
Plus the prospect of not having to defend Mo...
If Matthews leaves, this will be the most standard addition to the yearly MSU/UM early entree saga.
I didn't know Ben Carter was an early entry.
Well aware. One of them shouldn't have been here this year. The other might be a top 3 pick. Not even Izzo can work his magic there.
If you're suggesting that over the years Izzo hasn't done a better job at convincing players to return than Beilein, welp, don't know what to say...
The facts would tell Matthews to return. We'll see if he does.
Dollay bill, y'all. Plus all the coeds you can sexually assault.
We always seem to lose players who are worse than the ones MSU keeps, and our guys always seem to wait until the very last minute to decide.
I suppose Ward's ankles need another year to develop.
I thought as much. Quite alright though.
bending over from the waist.
Now if you want to see true effort put into a floor slap, check out Jae-Sean Tate
Note the athletic stance, with a far lower center of gravity. Unlike the Sparties, Jae'Sean gave 100% (so much so that he dislocated his shoulder).
He wasn't that great last year for MSU but it's still better than not having him I suppose.
I'm not sure that Tillman will be much different -- just looks like the typical Izzo banger with a limited offensive skillset.
by a fairly wide margin (28.9% of possessions used compared to Bridges 25.1 percent). And as a freshman he had an astronomical 32% usage rate.
Some of that discrepancy was due to TOs and he certainly got many of his shots off OREBs considering his best in the country OREB rates, but they fed him too. He was definitely the second option after Bridges when he was on the floor. Usually the first option if Bridges wasn't on the floor.
He did not lack for opportunities (unlike JJJ who was underutilized).
Nick Ward is returning to keep the seat warm since JJJ is gone.
Yuppers so he can do this again to nick.....
Hope Teske is working on his behind the back dribble move.
Is there some word out about Matthews? seems like its assumed he's gone. Unless he's told people, I'd say 90% chance he comes back.
I never bought the 'Ward is gone' hype. I don't care how much he hates Izzo, transferring / declaring / Europe were terrible options compared to being a featured player at MSU. Maybe he would have left if he had to decide in March, but you cool down quite a bit in 3 months.
Ward is back so he can play only 10-15 min a game again for Izzo.
No wonder he can't go to the NBA
Typical Izzo big: Lazy with a side of carbs.
Good thing he has the kind of toughness MSU sells.
Izzo is really John Goodman?
He had to come back after what Mo did to his knees.
