It woulda been today if not soon. I wonder if the coaches are waiting to see if other running backs will pull the trigger first, like Austin White.
Austin White and Eduardo Clements are two prospects that UM appears to have placed a higher priority on than Nick Hill at this point.
Would love to see Austin White. He has a lot of connections with MSU, so it would be good to see him go BLUE!
White, Clements...probably going to wait to see if they'll get their shot with Clay too.
do we honestly have a chance with Clements? what is he saying about the UM? I saw he was in the UM camp putting on a show, so the free headline said.
He said he would make his decision between Michigan and Georgia.
Nice! Have we offered his teamate (Quinton Dunbar I think it is) too? Maybe a 2 for 1 deal?
Dunbar actually said he wants to play with his other teammate (4* DE Lyndon Trail) in college. UM's offered him too, but nothing they do will effect Clements. Entering his visit to Michigan, Clements had Georgia pretty far out in front. Nobody knows yet if Michigan did anything to change that, but my gut tells me no.
Well that sucks.. For some reason Clements is my favorite running back this year.. Hopefully Michigan gets him.
where he talked about his girlfriend who goes to Florida and her having to wear 1/2 Blue and Orange and Half Garnet and Gold when she came to see him play. That was less then a month ago so don't count out FSU.
I'm not totally hung up on star ratings and such, but I don't think I've ever seen such a clamoring for us to offer a guy whose other offers are Stanford, Central Michigan, and Eastern Michigan. It boggles my mind.
I do know Notre Dame has had interest in him for a while, too.
Yeah we do but until ND is eliminated by one of the recruits we have offers out to, it would be unlikely he receives an offer. Last I knew he was trying to make one of our camps at the end of June.
I think it's because he is one of the bigger local recruits to come along in the past few years. Although he plays for saline, he has a lot of connections to Ann Arbor.
Hey! Chelsea definitely isn't Saline.
But yes, he played youth football in A2, so he has a lot of A2 connections.
My mistake.
Didn't you hear? He's the next Mike Hart.
Honestly, I think that's it. People look, and they see a 3-star dwarf-sized RB who even looks like Hart, and they see he's from Michigan, and they're enamored with him. I like Hill, I think he's much better than his offer list indicates...but I think he should be a solid 4th on Michigan's "uncommitted RB prospect" chart. I'd take Austin White, Eduardo Clements and Brennan Clay over Hill without giving it a second thought. Clements and Clay are in a totally different league, and White is much, much more versatile. White has the ball skills and hands of a receiver. Hill struggled with the pass catching aspects at UM's camp yesterday, which probably dropped his chances of getting offered under 50%.
He's much lower than 4th if you include guys we've offered but basically have no shot at (Lattimore, Seastrunk, Brown, Riley, etc.).
I doubt he even considered those guys when naming Hill as 4th on that list. I wouldn't. Those guys are not coming to Michigan.
would be in the mix, but not sure if he ends up at RB or somewhere else. I just don't think they are going to take another smallish back as they have quite a few of them already.
According to Scout he holds a ND offer, fwiw.
Never seen him play so I won't say anything else except that my uneducated epinion would take Hill over Tony Drake.
Not sure why scout lists it but he does not have an actionable offer. He may have received a verbal offer sometime in the past but he does not have an actionable one.
We love the Drake.
I'm lukewarm about the Drakette.
He's local.
The Nick Hill cult following is entirely Brian's fault.
From the 2010 Recruiting Board:
Nick Hill MI ***.5 M, MSU Shortish Mike-Hart style back.If he had said "Shortish Alijah-Bradley style back" we wouldn't be talking. MGoBloggers have a Mike Hart fetish.
read the OP's post in Ron Burgundy's voice?
"I'm Ron Burgundy?"
And do you have multiple accounts? Because I don't understand why posters here have such a hard-on for the kid. I'm sure he is a nice kid and all, but it doesn't make sense.
**sorry, I didn't read Magnus's post before writing this.**

Reminds me of the Lions with the WR from Grand Valley,(name escapes me), who everyone was clamoring to see.
David Kircus.
Isn't Hill a life-long Wolverine fan? Is it a turn off to Michigan that this kid will commit as soon as they offer?
only if they feel that the current offers will produce a commit
