NFL Free Agency Open Thread
Already some crazy deals going on:
wow RT @RavensInsider Haloti Ngata traded to Detroit Lions, according to a source

Trade final: Jimmy Graham to Seattle, per Seahawks official.

And a first rounder.
I tend to think it's an overpay. But their offense did get a lot better.
That's a bit of a stretch. Unger has had major injury issues for the better part of 2 years. It's not really mortgaging 2016-18 when all evidence suggests he probably won't be entirely healthy during those years.
Unger was their best interior lineman (the caveat being, when healthy).
I think the Seahawks are handcuffed salary-wise in getting someone like Wisniewski. So their 2nd, 3rd rounders better be interior lineman that pan out, or Wilson doesn't survive the season because every team will be bringing A-gap blitzes with the LBs or DE/OLB stunts into Wilson's face.
Wow. Jake Locker is retiring.

Wow. Jake Locker is still in the NFL?

As that article shows the basis for racism is tenuous at best. I think Thomas and Smith's comments say more about their attitudes towards white people than it does of Kelly.
The Tennessean had some of Locker's statement, if anyone is interested - LINK
"Football has always played a pivotal role in my life and I love the game, but I no longer have the burning desire necessary to play the game for a living; to continue to do so would be unfair to the next organization with whom I would eventually sign."
when he first entered the nfl. man...
Per Schefter. Over 40 mil guaranteed over 3 years.
Crazy that Pats let Browner walk for nothing without Revis locked up.
