Never give up, never give up, never give up, never give up, BEAT GEORGIA

I know the odds are against Michigan. I know many in the Nation are looking past this game for Alabama vs Georgia. I know a 4.4 forty is faster in the SEC than a 4.4 forty in the BIG10 (whatever that means). I know Michigan's passing game is disrespected. I know the college football world doesn't know who Mike Macdonald is, and Michigan's defense is disrespected. I know almost everyone, including some on this board, are expecting Georgia to win.

But I see this and say, Never give up, never give up, never give up, never give up........

Exactly, I'm pretty sure people are aware of our asst. coaches, they've been talked about a lot.

Many of our players have been talked about a lot and have gotten accolades as well.

I'm pretty confident going into this game, this team doesn't mess around, I think we put a hurting on them. Look at the SEC and how they're getting whooped in the bowl games, it was an overrated conference living off the accomplishments of Bama.

i am not 100% clear on the logic of how this Beautiful power run against Northwestern means we will beat Georgia- but I am more than ready to make the leap to use this tweet by Jim Nagy to increase my belief. Because, like many of us, I sit at the feet of Ezekiel’s Creatures.

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

the classic quote is from winston churchill whose country was about to be totally isolated as the rest of europe fell to the nazis.  given at a boarding school on 10/29/41 (5 weeks before pearl harbor), churchill's quote was this:

never give in, never give in, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

extraordinary character on display.  words to live by.

Until the SEC championship game Georgia has been the clear #1 pretty early.   This is a really, really good team.   Loaded with 5* talent and well coached.   Other than a defensive battle very early against Clemson, this team steam-rolled through the regular season and looked like a juggernaut that would cruise to a natty.   'Bama's regular season was certainly less impressive but they peaked when they had to and here we are.

One game at a time.  This 2021 team is different.  On paper, Georgia clearly has the edge.   But that's on paper.   What seems to get under-analyzed is special teams play.    Jeez.   This may well be the best special teams squad I've seen at Michigan in my lifetime (I'm 50).  The snappers.  Moody.  Robbins.   Blocked punts.  Fakes.  Hitting every single PAT.   Missing only to FG's this season.  If this game comes down to special teams I will be extremely happy.

I think Georgia is in the top 25 in special teams as well, so they're not too shabby. I don't know if this game will come down to special teams, but I do think Henning could have a big role to play for one side or the other. He's had his share of troubles fielding it cleanly, and losing track of where he is on the field inside the 10. He's also had some excellent returns. In what looks to be a close to the vest game, his responsibility for hidden yardage may be huge.

Went from the beginning of the season thinking 7-5 is the ceiling. Wrong. Thinking Michigan would win against one of the three big tests (MSU OSU PSU). Wrong. Thinking they would not come close to the conference championship and get beat by OSU handily. Wrong. In stocks, they say don’t go against the trend. So buddy, I’m optimistic about this. Not sure UGA is as scary as OSU or Iowas D. My pessimistic self is surprisingly optimistic and think UM will pull it out. I truly think UMs body of work is better along with a better well rounded team. Sorry for being a bad fan, BPONE has gotten the best of my Michigan fandom. LFGB!

That was a ridonkulous highlight. But I think it's possible his forward motion was stopped pretty early, that officials might have blown the play dead.

Thanks, I'll enjoy the shower of downvotes, pretend it's Gatorade.
