Need help: How to watch Michigan tonight in Venice, Italy?

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on August 31st, 2019 at 4:06 PM

A friend of mine is in Venice right now and his VPN on his phone is not working to allow him to stream the game. Is there a bar that will be showing the game and open late enough to watch at least the first half (kickoff will be around 1:30am local time)?

Thanks in advance for any help. Go Blue.

Tell him to turn off location services on his phone and try again, some sites will use that to determine location instead of ip if it's available.  Found that out with Foxsports last year from Lisbon.

I am living in France and for the past 10 years I used BTN 2 GO International, but much to my surprised this no longer exists (and I had an active paid account!!).  I am now trying to figure out if Fox sports allows access internationally...  I have ESPN Player international for all ESPN games though.

Reddit CFB streams is the way to go.  Some streams require a US IP and some don't.  As somebody else mentioned, grandma streams are the most reliable, but I've found that most of his FOX/BTN streams require a US IP. He will just have to use a trial and error method to see which one works for him.

One big problem for finding night games in Europe is the time zone difference.  Many streaming pubs close at 2 AM (8PM EST).

Had that problem in Berlin about 15 years ago

It’s easy - if you have a friend who will help you

You need someone who is stateside to watch the game online. Then, via Skype, share screens
