NCG Watch Party at Crisler
As previously discussed, watch party @ Crisler is going down. Link? Link. http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/040713aab.html. Free to students, $5 general public with proceeds to AD Scholarship Funds.
So...a few questions:
1. Are you going?
2. It says doors open at 7:30pm and it's first come, first serve. Do you think people will be lining up early? Do you think they will have to turn people away (ie do you think it will be full)?
3. Will they be running concessions and the like?
4. Is there a bad seat in the house to see the scoreboards?
5. We On.
As long as there is subs at the concessions, WeOn.
That's crazy
Crisler isn't that big, and the scorecube is huge(100% viewable with no border). Its really an ideal venue for something like this.
I'm thinkin' Arby's
That they will lower the score board a little so the people in the lower bowl and courtside seats won't have to look straight up so much.
I am wondering how they are going to handle the admission part....everyone just handing the person at the door $5 cash doesn't seem like it will work. You probably going to have to wait in line at the ticket window to buy tickets first and then go in? If so, the lines to get tickets might be REALLY long....
Lucklily I live about 2 miles from Crisler so I can go down really early to sniff it out unless they post more info later today.
With a good amount of season ticket holders and students down in ATL I would assume they would not have to turn people away...but with the updates to Crisler and the new HD boards you never know.
I will be there with the family....it will be great to be there with the M family win or lose.
Go Blue!!
BTN will broadcast live? How the hell is that going to work?
That the BTN will be working in cooperation with CBS to show "live feeds of viewing party brought to you by the B1G Network" type of deal.
I could be wrong.
For all you fellow students out there, what time is everyone hitting the bars? I know people were at Charley's yesterday from open to close, which seems a bit too much for tomorrow. Plus I have a class that gets out at 6:20, so I'm debating whether to send a scouting party to the bar and grab seats, or to just go after I get out.
Has anyone ever been to a viewing party like this? I am debating whether or not to go but I have no idea what to expect.
Skip!
I went to the Palace in 2005 - Game 7 vs Heat. I'd say stay in the comfort of your own house.
Ok well I know that if I stay at home and watch it I won't be dissapointed however if I risk going to the viewing party there is a chance it may suck...That is the analysis I am getting. I think I am going to stay home.
I went during the Fab Five era. It was great. The only thing that sucked was the final score. The game is the only focus, unlike in a sports bar. You will be with a few thousand fellow fans, with no drunks cheering for the other team. If you are on the fence, just go.
Lodos Bar and Gril is the place to be.
