NCAA Hockey Selection Show (ESPNU, 6:30)
We think we know we're headed to Allentown with PSU, Colgate and a not totally clear three seed (we think Minnesota State).
Starts in a few minutes on ESPNU, where Wisconsin just upset OSU for the women's title, 1-0. JT Compher's little sister is a Badger, so congrats to her.
Go Kirsten! I am from Plymouth-Canton; tons of good hockey players from that area.
Why don't we have a UM women's hockey program?

Yost is awesome but the visiting team doesn't get a locker room and logistically putting another varsity team in the building would be very difficult.
I have no inside information but am repeating what I have heard from the MGoBlog staff for the hockey coverage.

The visiting team doesn’t have a locker room? What do they do?
They put up a temp locker room - w some walls - for visiting teams on south end of stadium. You can walk right by it.

This feels like the best draw of all the one seeds. Bid-stealer to start, and yeah, likely a “home” game against PSU. But they are not the most fearsome of the 2 seeds, no matter where the game is played.

I'd love to see a U-M v MTU match-up on Sunday. I've got a kid at each school.
Anybody have info on Allentown tickets? I don't see anything on the M Tickets website, and there wasn't anything in the selection e-mail.
EDIT: Looks like a lot of availability at the venue website; not sure how much that will change with PSU in the regional. Mainly wondering if there's a "home" (UM) section.

It was pretty empty last year, and I don't remember a Michigan section. How many seats remain pretty much obliviates Penn State home ice concerns. It is 3 hours away.
Also was at the games last year. I expect a better crowd with PSU making the regional, but it was really kind of sad how empty the arena was. Even the reginal final was nowhere near full.
I can't imagine you'll have difficulty getting a ticket pretty much anywhere you want.
Sadly, I won't be at the games this year. I've got frozen four tickets read to go though.
